I called the number back on another line and it goes straight to a messaging service. This group called last month from a Texas area code, now calling from a DC area code. Saying i have a debt with pending legal action. All my debt is currently paid off or in the process of being payed off, this is def a scam.

You're posting to someone who is probably a shill for the scammers-don't you find it STRANGE that someone came here just to post that? Ask for the debt IN WRITING-that means, by MAIL, not phone, email or fax!

You're stupid, all right, but not because you were served. It's because you actually expect anyone here to believe your pack of lies when you're obviously a scumbag shill trying desperately to trick people into believing your company is anything more than a den of thieves who would never be caught dead anywhere near a courtroom.

So Stephanie, where's your post asking about the legitimacy of this scumbag debt collecting "firm?"  You implied that the posters here at 800 notes gave you bad advice.  So where is your post?  It's not at this number.  So why did you google this number and come here?  Tsk, tsk. Stephanie, your shillary is so blatant you don't deserve a response but here's one anyway...BULL $HIT!

This is a classic debt collector tactic.  So the bottom feeding scum at this "company" bought some debt.  When debt collectors buy debt, all they get is a name and an amount.  They don't even know if the debt is legitimate or if YOU are actually the debtor.  You may just have a similar name.  If you choose to call back or answer, know your rights and don't be intimidated by these garbage collectors.  Here is advice from the FTC (Federal Trade Commission).  You might also like to read the expose on debt collectors.  Here are some links:
