DC Detention Center (Jail)

Robo-fax ten times this morning.  My fax machine works, but this number could not activate my fax.  I could not send a fax back to them.

i would like to know who is calling from this number and cant hear anyone?

Security must be pretty minimum there if they have time to hack anything!

I was about to say the same. Any jail that lets inmates have access to do their crimes from prison has a problems with their security.

Or Crap Service must've spoofed this number?

Thats a scary thought! Criminals in prison can still have access to technology , computers and phones to continue illegal activity! Unless you are right, they spoofed the number!

This is why all signals and calls that leave or enter a jail or a prison must be monitored. Breach of inmates privacy? Yes but that's one way deal with it.

Criminals who are willing to do crimes from prison don't deserve their privacy protected.

Inmates don't deserve privacy!

Exactly if wanted privacy, they should've thought twice before doing the crime.

I got two calls this morning from that number, and each time, when I answered, there was silence.

It turned out that somebody I knew was trying to call me from the DC jail.  The jail phone system dials your number and then there is a long silence.  It you are patient and don't hang up, after a while a computer voice will tell you that you have a call and ask you to press 1 to take the call.

Prisoners in the jail have no access to cell phones or computers or the internet and they have extremely limited phone access.  Somebody has to contribute money to their "commissary account" before they can call anyone, and calls are monitored.

So don't worry about them hacking anybody.  They don't have any way to do anything like that.

Don't assume that everyone in the jail has committed a crime.  Our legal system doesn't work that well.

This just happened to me about 5 minutes ago . I called back and a fax machine answered . and then they called back so I went on Google to try and see what area this was at cause it could have been a [***] playing on my phone whole time its d.c jail so it could have been nobody but my boyfriend calling and I seen it said pranks but I don't think he would call and try to prank or hack my phone for no reason .

I received a call from this number I just want to know how do I set up the account so he can be able to call me.

This is a jail call don't hang up you have to wait for it to connect
