IRS Spam Message:

"...Notify you that IRS has issued an arrest warrant against you right now if you... your physical property those are being monitored... important that I do hear back from... as soon as possible before we proceed further in any legal matter my direct call back number is 202-567-6418 again the number is 202-567-6418 thank you..."

Wanting personal information regarding an IRS number. Person was hard to understand and had a very thick accent.

I received the same automated message. The IRS would not notify you of an arrest warrant by phone message on a cellphone

I got the same threatening illegal recorded message that all the others got. Why is the IRS allowing this? Its been going on for years.

Well, did you report it to the IRS? They can't do anything if they don't know about it. The majority of these scammers are overseas and simply spoofing American phone numbers so there's little to nothing the IRS can do anyway.

What makes you think the IRS "allows" extortionists to abuse the agency's name? If you're unsatisfied with its frequent warnings to the public and the periodic DoJ busts of crooked call center nests, maybe you should stop whining and join the fight.
