Called to verify/update my name, doctor, bithdate

I received a similar call last week. The person calling said he was calling to verify my name, doctor and birthday. He told me my name, my date of birth and wanted to know my primary care physician's name. I told him, but when he asked me to spell it, I became uncertain of the legitimacy of the call and hung up on him. He called back a few times but I didn't answer - I declined the call (on my cell). He did not leave a voicemail. I'm still just not sure if it was a legitimate call.

I also received a call like this. But from a 419 number. I started to answer the questions but because I work for SSA I became suspicious once they identified as a government agency. I explained to them the call was suspicious. But I could not find any reports from that number online. They hung up on me while waiting for me to verify my doctors address. They did not call back until today from this number. I did not answer.

got several calls from this number. no messages left. when I tried to call it back says 'disconnected. when they called again I got a mush mouthed guy trying to 'verify my address' ... he knew my name, but gave a very old address. when I asked who he was again he gave a similar 'health and human services' (again, mush mouthed, couldn't really understand him) when I pointed out I simply could not understand half of what he was saying he asked 'if I understand english?' I responded with 'do you SPEAK english MFer!?' then he called me a MFer ... this sealed it. total scam. I hung up. he has called me back at least 20 times, ever time I answer and call him a stupid N**ger and tell him to go kill himself, his scam is weak blah blah blah... this guy is LIQUID hot heheheheh

YES! I also got a call from this guys they said we are from (Department of Health and Human Service) and when i asked for the call back number they provided me the call back number as well as they told me that they doing this verification under the approval of federal government and i verified all the information to them............

Just got a call from this number posing as a health and human services employee. He asked for my primary physician but I did not give it to him. He hung up saying a survey would be after the phone call to verify his is from hhs. No survey just a disconnected line. Sounds like like they got our information from some company that was sloppy with security. I wonder who it is this time.?

Same type of call, I told him i don't see a doctor, indian/bangledesh accent, claims to be with Department of health and human services. 202-257-7367 is another number that was used this morning. These are Voip or cell numbers, definite scammers. Area code is DC but this person could be anywhere.

Same thing but left no message. Blocked

Got a call from this number and all I heard was "Goodbye" from a robot and the call was disconnected.

Also, the name on caller ID is Mengistu Tirsit.. fishy.

I have received at least 10 calls over the last few days from D.C., Texas, Pennsylvania, Michigan, even my own state of Ohio, at first he said he was from the Health dept, then after I asked who he was again he said Human services. Well [***] those are two different dept, so then he hung  up, then they kept calling even after I told them I was reporting them to the AG office.

Wanted Dr. Last name, got multiple calls, different numbers, really aggressive! Kept calling me back , even after I hung up each time.
