Thank you to all who posted on this site. It sounded like a scam, and reading these comments confirms it is one. Truly these folks should be put behind bars.

This is just the continuation of the same stupid scam run by a bunch of Indians with a VOiP box. They are beyond pathetic. Their accents and their choice of words are SO appalling, I almost feel sorry for these c losers!
Rest assured - THIS IS A SCAM! YOU DON'T HAVE TO PAY ANYTHING! YOU ARE NOT IN ANY LEGAL TROUBLE! YOU WILL NOT BE AUDITED OR ARRESTED! DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR CREDIT CARD INFO OR BANK INFO!

The best thing to do is hang up or curse them out. They're a bunch of FOBs who won't be able to keep up with you. Also threaten them with arrest.

I've been trolling them for six months. I even had an Indian buddy call with a blocked caller ID and curse them out in Hindi. I didn't understand a word of it but it was hilarious!

i got a call 202-600-4535 told they are from irs there is a court case I told them i will get my lawyer to talk to them ..

Got a call from Dony Foster at this number, claiming to be from IRS.  Lots of background noise like calling from a mass calling center.  He had an accent like from India.

They left a message at my home and said it is IRS and there is a fraud reported on my husband's Social security number.

Hi, this is officer Brian smith and I am calling you form Ex audit department of IRS. IRS stands for internal revenue service.
Now the nature and purpose of the call is  just to inform you that we have received a legal application reagarding your tax law against your name and against your social security number. Before things go wrong and before Sherrif's officer will approach you and issue a warrant of arrest, kindly call back at 888-508-0325.
