I saw this number when I responded to a craigslist ad for a personal assistant - is this a scam? Also the ad says he is away traveling in australia, so perhaps that was why 'no response'?

Apparently, this person is claiming to offer a job but its a scam.

Yeah they said they were in china too.  its a scam.  anyone that tells you that you are hired off the bat and then wants all of your info is out to steal your info.  OR have you cash fake money orders while you send them your money.

What ever happened to you with this? I responded to a similar ad and was actually sent a cashiers check!! Is its scam?

I'm soooo glad you guys posted this.  I received an email from James Cheng about a personal assistant job I applied for.  The numbers Schmuch gave are right on the money! TOTAL SCAM!

They are getting better now after the phone calls they are sending out letters about an estate in Hong Kong. With Cash that needs to be claimed. Customer on the letter head is Stefan Kunert with the above phone number - they have moved on to target Canadians also - B
