Is this number a legal valid number or a scammers
202-621-621-0203 implied that we had been give a gov't grant of 10,000 dollars. They just needed some personal info,ie last four digits of my social sec.

I believe this to be a scam. I tried to do a reverse lookup of the number and drew a blank on some and others want a fee. The most consistent response was that it related to a cell phone. Why would the gov't have a cell phone and why would the government need your SS number? Also, why would the gov't give away money without an express need. I know that they are giving away money like crazy to all sorts of programs; but it just doesn't feel right; usually one has to apply for this money. Just my $.02. BTW I received the same call.

I also received this call and I would like to know how do I go about reporting this because I was all for it until they told me that I needed to western union a processing fee of $99 to RAM YADAV in Daihi, India when questioned about the fee they responded that it would go for charity, I need to report this because I was a fool enough to give my personal information.

I received this call and it was like as lampoon. I report this because it seems like a scam to me.

I just got a call from the US Gov't Health and Human Services office telling me I have been awarded a grant of $6500 (how come mine isn't $10,000???).  They had my name, phone # and address.  I was given an approval code and a call back # (202-621-0203).  Not being a total moron, I decided this is probably a scam, as the other posters have indicated.  Especially suspicious when the caller identified herself as "Sara Lee" --- hmmmm.....I managed to not say "like the pies/cakes".

My mother got the same call - I also called back the number to check up on things.  I spoke to Mike and to Sara Lee.   Mike the person that answered my call, was not able to answer questions and asked me to call back in 20 minutes.  Why would a government office have you call back in 20 minutes espcially if they're giving out money?  This is a total scam - its sad that these people are trying to take money from others.  I would call your local police or some other goverment agency and report them.

I go the same call form a Ms.Lee saying I was approved for a $10K grant and given my approval number and a number at Health&Human Services [202 621 0203]  to call to collect my 'grant'. I called back immediately and got what sounded like Ms.Lee,[ who has a broken accent which was easily recconizable,] she denied being Ms.Lee and put me on hold, when she came back I was told to call back later. It is a total scam. Don't fall for this. I would like to know how they are getting all this personal information, where is it coming from?
