They called me telling me i was granted 7,000 dollars. And it was suppose to be a gift from the government.
so i had to give the my debit card number because they say they would wire it to me within a hour and half but when i called the number they told me to the person on the other in kept telling me they computer was down so call back in 15 mins, then they said call back in 30 so the last time i did call he said oh my computer not working today and hung up on me. Now every time i call back they either hang up on me or they don't answer. They really making me think this could be so type of scam.

This person called and promised 7000.  From the us government..I called the police and
Reported it. They are doing a full investigation now.
It is a scam..

So they called me and said that i was going to be granted 7000 from the government and that it was going to be wired to my card. Then i was supposed to speak to Adam Parker but the call would not come thorugh!

i just got off the line with them at that same num and got into an argument with john. he picked up the phone for adam parker. yes its a scam. he was mad at me because i wanted to recieve documentation...lol... i recorded our coversation and laughing at it. should i call the police???

I wanted to inform people in Oregon of a scam going on similar to these folks.  A person claims to be calling from the Treasury department stating that the recipient has just qualified for a grant of $7000. All the person needed to do was give their account number and the person on the call would wirre the money into the account. This is an ideal time for scammers with being tax season and all and I wanted to inform Albany Police of this and also the State police as well. The supposedly "real" number to call back was listed as  202-621-0317. Please do not fall for this type of scam and do not be vulnerable to this illegal approach of trying to bilk thousands of dollars to us that are not so computer saavy or know that much about the on-going scams!  For the record this has been filed with the Attorney General of Oregon as well and he will track you down and find you!  even if it takes the FBI!
