I received a message on my answering machine yesterday from this number.  it stated the U S Treasury wanted to speak to me about tax fraud. Also that I was in danger of imprisonment if did not return call.  I have contacted my U S Attorney General's office to report.

I received a call telling me I was up on criminal charges.  If I failed to respond, I would be arrested.  The call came from (315) 555-0124 and said it was New York.  The number they told me to call was (202) 621-0382.

I received a call on my cell phone from 772-555-0166.  They left a voice mail (sounded like a recorded voice) indicating there was an issue about tax fraud.  They indicated I needed to call them back at 202-621-0382.  I am not returning this call.
If the IRS has a problem with me, they will send me a letter in the mail....just like they have done in past years, when needed.

Received a similar call as the other comments.  Supposedly the US Treasury Department regarding tax fraud against me.  Badge # 4165 is the caller but asked for a return call ASAP.  Nothing identified who they were trying to reach (name, address, etc.) and it sounded automated and of poor quality.  I do not intend to return the call as all communications for the US Treasury Department or IRS is mailed via United States Postal Service.

Same call as above. Robo voice threatened arrest if I didn't call 202 621 0382. Originating number is 331 555 0121.

Do consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.

BEWARE!!!! IRS WOULD COME TO YOUR DOOR, NOT GIVE YOU A WARNING. Received same call to my house. The message was left, but they didn't say who they where looking for, just said badge#4165, got same message about arrest, fraud, etc. from same number telling to call 202-621-0382. So, I called them back, but no one answered. This is not the first time I have heard or encountered this fraudulence.  The same thing happened to an old client who was contacted by the "US treasury". SCAM! They'll tell you to get a money order and read the numbers to them. They prey on anyone who is willing to believe. It's a FRAUD! If the IRS wanted to speak with you, they wouldn't end their message "Hope to hear from you".

Caller: "202"  area  code  fraud  scam   never  ending   calls !

Mine came from a number out of Canada, that's the first clue it's bogus.  Secondly, the government never calls!  The send registered mail!  And my Accountant would have received it as well since he's been doing my taxes for the past 15 years!

Got a call today july 15, 2015 that i will be arrested if i didn't contact them about the tax fraud .  I was to call 202-621-0382.  Of course i did not call but searched to get this site.  The caller id came from this number 218-555-0113

Received a voice mail from this number about a tax fraud.  It said that if I don't reply I could go to jail.

Received a call on July 9th at 1:11 pm, left message, states: call 202-621-0382 immediately or  you will be criminally charged and put in prison. I did not call this number. Sounded like a robot call.

Same call, subject matter, coming from 941-555-0182

Received call from 276.555.0116 stating that I would be arrested for not taking action for potential tax fraud, etc. was given the number 202.621.0382 and when returning the call it rings  and then it goes to fast busy.  They continue to call and this is very annoying.

I received a call to my house on Friday, July 17 afternoon regarding tax fraud.  The caller didn't say who they were looking for, only said case #4165 from the Federal Treasure Department, asking me to call back # 202-621-0382.  I check on Google to find out more about the number 202-621-0382 before calling back and report it to police in my town.

I also received a message on my answering machine from this number. A woman's voice, badge #165 from the U.S. Treasury and something to do with fraud. I am about to contact our state's attorney general office.

received a voicemail to call 202-621-0842 that the legal dept of the IRS is filing a lawsuit the phone # that left the message was 202-684-6436

they said they're the IRS
