I got a call from this number from a man name john smith telling me that I was to get $9000.00 he and jerry nelson and tony had me spend $545.00 on money pak cards then told me that I would have to get another $55.00 money pak and then I would recieve the money through western union.After the first amount that I lost I check online with B.B.B. and found this to be a scam. So how do I get my $545.00 back. please email [removed]@yahoo. com

THIS IS A SCAM!  Some [***] Nigerian tells you about government money owed to you.  He just needs some info(all the personal data he can get) and then he wants you to give him money.  These guys are real pieces of [***].  Be glad when the FBI or CIA shuts them down and arrest them!

These guys are a scam when the government calls to tell you and tells you we have free money thru government grants then you know its a joke the government dont just give out money that easy!!!!!! Come on people wake up SCAM

Your money's gone.   Green dot money paks are untraceable.   There are no grants.  You've been scammed by Indian scammer/extortionists who are outside the reach of US law.

Any time you receive a cold call from someone with an Indian accent either 1.  Offering you something or 2.  Threatening you, you know it's 100% a scam and you should hang up.

I got a call from them last week Wednesday with the name Greg Jonson that I won $7000 I just have to put in $250 in a green dot money pack card & tell them the # I knew right then it's a SCAM so I didn't do any think to that on that Friday they called me from the same # name Nelson that they're calling from the IRS & there is a arrest warrant on me so they will pick me up I didn't knew in first place that it's the same # I told them I'll call them back but when I cheeked the # I saw it's the same SCAMMERS as the first time. This Wednesday again Greg Jonson called me that I won $7000 so now I'm waiting for Friday. PPL WAKE UP THEY'RE SCAMMERS DONT GIVE THEM ANY PRIVET INFO

I am getting repeated calls from this number! He claimed to be from the 'U.S. Claims Department's. When I called him a fraud and a scanner, he actually got aggrevated and tried to validate himself. I said some not so nice choice of words and hung up on him....

Got two calls from this number today.  The first one they said nothing. The second one they tried to tell me that I was receiving an $8000 sales tax refund from the US Government. They couldn't even tell me what department they were with. Guy told me his name was John Wilson and couldn't even pronounce Wilson. Asked me to verify my info so I asked what did he have.  Someone else's name and address.  Then he says well I don't know why we have that wrong in the system but the owner of this phone number was selected to receive the refund. I needed to buy a $200 green dot card then they would send my refund through Western Union. Be smart. Don't throw away your money.

why does the top person MARLENE that posted her comment say SUSPECT across her comment>  I have never seen that before, but as far as this number is concerned I get them calling me daily and I am on the do not call registry why doesn't it work?  I know this is a scam because I use to work for the IRS and they do not call and tell you to send in green dot money paks to get money they send you out a letter.

Everyday - for the past several weeks - we have been getting phone class from this number asking for Fatima.  We've asked the man to stop.  Yesterday I yelled at him to stop and hung up.  A minute later my husband called him.   As heI was trying to talk to him, he just started saying: "Blah, blah, blah"  Now - today - He called just minutes ago - we didn't answer.  He didn't leave a message.  We are exploring our options to muzzle this idiot.

I received about 4 calls from 202-621-0444 on 10/7/14. I called it back and they said they were from some grant service. He had to spell it out for me because I thought he kept saying grange service.  But I told him I had the wrong number and hung up. I never give out personal information to anyone over the phone. I hope people do not fall for these types of scams. If it's something you are unsure of 9 times out of 10, your gut instinct is correct. Tell them to try to move on to the next person because you are not interested.

I got a phone call from some guy saying that the U.S. government was giving me $8000. . . I think. His accent was so heavy, I made him repeat himself 3 times. I just couldn't understand him, so I definitely did not catch his name. (I'm not being racist, I myself am Asian.) Anyway, I played along for a bit, saying "Ohh. . . I get $8000?!?! That's great!!! Send me a check!!!" He said that the government doesn't do that. I asked why. He went into some long drawn out excuse and then I said that if he won't send me check then I knew it was a scam. He tried to protest while I hung up.

This is a scam people! The government is NOT going to give you free money from out of thin air. Have you seen our national debt? Do you know what the trade deficit is? HAHAHAHA!!!

As long as it is being honest and truthful it is never racist.

Even if they did send you a check, it would bounce higher than a kite!

It is painted "Suspect"  because there is some doubt as to the honesty of the post.   As far as the Do Not Call Registry,  It depends on what you are expecting the DNC registry to do for your.  If you are expecting it to screen or block calls for you,  IT AINT GONNA HAPPEN,  but that doesn't mean it don't work.  It does exactly what it was created and intended to do.  It provides a list,   which is purchased and updated monthly,   by Legitimate and Registered with the FTC businesses,   to limit the number of Sales calls to those on the list.  That is all. Just a list.     It has some exemptions and does not work for scammers,  criminals and all other scofflaws and was never intended as a law enforcement tool. .  Scammers,  frauds and all other criminals come under the laws of the FCCs,  FBI and other government departments.

A foreign-sounding guy who butchered my name called me and then used the F-word when I spoke slowly to him because he sounded as if English were his second language.  I called back and he said he was the US Treasury. LOL
This guy should be shut down.  Clearly a fraud.
