Recording - Claims IRS. I just hung up.  IRS doesn't contact people this way...

Called my celll, said it was from IRS and I owe money in back taxes.  It was a recorded message and they asked to call back.  IRS should something about the spammer.

Someone called my elderly mother stating that they were going to sew her, of course she hang up on them.  I tried calling the number and it is busy.

Same Here. Says IRS is suing me. Not true? Scam?

I'm assuming it's a scam. Think it's would have mailed a letter.

Got same call today, Sept 2nd.  When I call back I'm informed that called party cannot be reached on this number as the line is busy.

Got the same call this morning. I received two similar calls last year and reported it to sheriff dept. It is a scam.

The initial call from 202-6221-0546 informed me that the IRS was filing a lawsuit against me and to call 202-621-0546 for further information. I called that number, and Asian man who did not speak good English answered and asked if this was my home by name so I know he had that much information, but when he mispronounced it I also knew it was not too legitimate. Then I asked for his name, and he seemed flustered. "Shawn Miller' he said, and hung up the phone hurriedly.

Claimed they were irs and suing me. Irs doesn't work that way. Caller ID said international

I have received numerous calls to my home and cell from 202.621.0546. Each time they leave a message stating that the IRS has filed a lawsuit against me and I must call back immediately.  It is a recorded message.  When the phone just rang a few minutes ago the recorded message this is your last warning...I'd imagine if the IRS were going to sue me they'd be sending me a certified letter not leaving me threatening voice messages.  On a side note, I received the same calls back in April right after taxes were paid and after several calls at my home going unanswered, they just stopped calling.  It's [***]!

two calls within 4 hours claiming that it was the irs. didn't answer since I did not recognize the number, have heard about these calls and know they are phony calls.

Got the call this morning and afternoon!  Told them I knew it was a scam! But they still call.

This is a fraud. They were able to take $7000 from a friend claiming to be IRS

Got two calls stating I am being sued by IRA and to call back for info on the case file.  202-621-0546     I did not return the call but was tempted to call and give them false data - but was not sure if I responded it would mark me as a potential target for future calls.  The law/FTC should do something about thiese crooks.

Do consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.
