Got a call saying it was the IRS and that he needed information from me.  The number is a Verizon wireless number

They called today (December 11, 2015) and left a message saying that I need to contact them before they take legal action against me (not sure who "they" are and it wasn't indicated on the automated message.) It said after that I would be taken "under" custody by the local "cops" and that there are "serious allegations pressed against (my) name"! It was an automated message from a female.  You'd think that they'd at least be smart enough to say "law enforcement" instead of "cops"! This must be their holiday rip off campaign, as I've also received a call on December 10, 2015, saying that "the IRS is filing lawsuit against (me) and to get more info on this case file,  please call immediately on our department number at 360-244-4268."  I also received a third automated call on Dcember 8, 2015,saying that a lawsuit was being filed against me by the unidentified caller (again an automated message) and that I should call their department number at 202-864-1672 (that call originated from phone number 206-973-7887.). I have all of my contact numbers on the Do Not Call list.  You would think that they could find some way to enforce that and also to get these fraudulent callers.

12/12/2015- Automated voicemail from a female saying, "has expired and (I) will be taken into custody by the the local 'cops' and there's serious allegations pressed against your name at this movement."

The message started off half-way through a sentence, "has expired and.....etc."

I love how they used the term "cops" and "movement".

I was told to call (202) 621-0764 to resolve.

Same as the others reported, message does not start from the beginning, difficulty in understanding the message.  Never did hear "who" they were, but indicated they were calling for the IRS, and I had 24 hours to call them back or be taken into custody by the "cops".
