This number is being used by scammers who call people who have lost dogs.  They offer to search for your dog for a price and promise results or your money back.  They do not have people who search for dogs.

It's a pity people try to monopolize on another's grief when their dog is missing. Our dog has been missing for two days and this guy just called me. It was a bad connection so he called 4 times, the cities he called from came up as New York, Los Angeles and Denver. That was a red flag. He wanted $ to look for my dog in tucson and said 170 people would actively be looking for her. [***].

What an @$$hat! Crap like this really pi$$es me off. Hope you find your pet soon. :(

Our pup has been missing less then 24 hours..And got a call from this no# . when i heard lost dog , my heart jumped... Only to find its Some Indian guy. Claimed to be with The pet rescue... Asked for call back no#. He gave this no. 202-629-9017. Goggled it and found that its a scam. The no is different from what my caller I'd said. Googled that no#. Scam computer tech something....  They guy said for a fee - returnable in 4 days... Everything he said was just like what others have posted ... even sent email to us from pet recuse ... Said he would call back.  Also BEWARE OF THIS NO# 1-559-386-9702 . this no# was on our called ID.

They are obviously a SCAMSCAMSCAM. I really hope nobody buys into this.. they called my mom with a NY area code saying to call back a WA area code, then if she gave them money they would have 60+ people looking for our missing dog along with posting flyers.. This has got to be the most ridiculous, asinine scam I have ever even heard of. They originally called on the number 6072318335 which has a TON of various complaints and used www.thepetrescue.com as there website.. which looked like it was put together with barely any brains. Indians always have the dumbest scams. Makes me sick they would prey on people whom lost their dog.

Yep they just called me too. Police should really focus on doing something about these kinds of things. These idiots keep doing them because they get away with it!

Got the same call!!! I am trying to get a hold of this as*hole simply so I can rip him a new one for scamming people with lost dogs. I miss my little boy very much and don't appreciate this crap!!!!!

A pet rescue scam.  A man called "George" called today from (607)324-5961, which is apparently a payphone in Hormel NY.  He left a message for me to call (202)629-9017 about my lost dog.  Nobody answers.  They must have trolled Facebook for my number.  There's an article about them... http://www.kmov.com/news/just-posted/Company- ... -243437181.html

I got this call a couple days after posting my missing cats, thought It sounded phony.  Steve was his name and he was incredulous I was not buying his offer. Glad I found this site and confirmed its a scam.

I recieved a call tonight saying that "George" had info about my lost cat... I was wondering where they got my number and then remembered I had posted something on craigslist. It's so sick that they create these kind of schemes to get people's money!!! I was really hoping to get info on my cat that's been missing for over a month!! Sick people!

Left me a message about my lost dog. Called from 516-785-9420, asked me to return call to 202-629-9017. Glad I googled this first ,and found out it was a scam.

"Matthew" who could barely speak English left 2 messages on my phone. I knew it was a scam at once. The message is a recorded one but sent from 2 different phone numbers. Says to call back at 202-629-9017. The calls came from 516-746-9347 and315-789-9672. I hope these f'ing bast**ds rot in hell.

unbelievable, damn Indian scammers preying on the people suffering from a lost pet. This is a total scam, they kept their story. We kept talking knowing it was a scam just to hear them screw up. We played along and asked question after difficult question, they were getting stumped, we wanted to make these low life scammers suffer. Many different numbers came up and were given, 202-629-9017

Steve called & left this number, called with no luck reaching a person just a recording. So sad it's not real 😭

my good friend lost his pup that hes had since his wife died. i put an ad on the craigslist page in yakima wa. for him.
i got a call from a brian with an oriental accent of some sort.
the # was 202-629-9017.
i new something was up by the # and when he asked to call him if my dog was still missing.
i have seven dogs 1 cat all medically sound, healthy,spade you get the picture this is how much people care and should
care about their pets.
if someone finds these pukes kick the **** out of them for us unless their near yakima wa then i'll do it....

Just got a call from "Sam" who could barely speak English and when I wouldn't take the bait, he asked if he could call back another time. Uh-no!! Wish there was something I could do about people like them. Instead, I just hung up. Maybe someone will post some dialogue we could use to put these liars in their place.

Got a call this morning from Rob at The Lost Pet Finder stating that if my pet was still missing to call him and he had information about our pet.  Did a lookup on the number since caller id was 312-875-81 from IL, USA which was odd to me.  The guy had an indian accent.  The callback number he provided was 202-629-9017.  I'm pretty sure he got my lost dog info off Craigslist.  Won't be calling them back since they are confirmed scammers.  

Recieved a call stating it was pet rescue and wanted money from me. Scam and pisses me off because I'm hurting to find my dog how can these low lives try to take advantage.
