- Ticked OffGot the same call from Charles Green from the Law firm of Brown. Called both my cell and my work phone. Said it was an important legal matter and I would be arrested if either I or my attorney did not respond in a certain amount of time. I informed him if he was aware that I worked at/for the Police Department and he said yes. How do we get these people turned in? Looks to me as if they are doing this to numerous amounts of people. There should be something that can be done.

- Jesse C LeeSo today 04/01/10 I received a call from 425-998-1964. He said his name was Shawn Richards working for Cash Net. He stated that I took out a payday loan for $300.00 and never pay them back the money. He could not tell me when i took this loan out because he said that he did not work for a collections agency, but stated that if I did not pay them the money by Monday 04/05/10 they would send cops to my POE or POR and that they would take me to the courthouse and then to jail. When i told him that I had never taken out a loan before he started throwing out profanities, and when i asked him to send me information either a fax or something through the mail he just said that he couldn't do that, not company policy. So i asked him if i could just pay online or over the phone he said that he could not do that either. He stated that i must send him my Debit card info exp date sec code acct # etc. he also wanted my drivers license. After that i again asked for the info on the loan he said he couldn't give it to me, so I asked for all of his info and after he gave this to me i told him i am going to pass this info on to the cops, he then hung up on me after throwing out more profanities. I passed everything on to the local police dept and also the Cash Net company so that they could continue the investigation. Please do not pass on any of your info to these people they are using scare tactics to get money just make sure when they call you to get as much info as possible before they hang up be polite so that they will give you their info then pass everything on to the cops LETS GET THESE GUYS!!1

- KarenI see that no one has posted anything on this for a while but received a call from this number today 202-629-9156 and was told I owed money, was sworn at, was told I was going to jail, that my family members would be contacted, my husband could go to jail, and so on and so forth. Really great conversation. I have gotten these calls before but always from different telephone numbers. I did go to my local police and file a report, contacted the FTC and the FBI. Gave them all the information I had (which is mostly fake names, and multiple fake numbers) these calls are mostly made from Throw away cell phones and are ABSOLUTELY fradulent but I REALLY want them to stop.....any suggestions I only have so many patients. When I tell them I have contacted the police and FBI they laugh, tell me I will be arrested and hang up and then I don't hear from them for months...got to love it
- AlisonI just received a call from these people calling themselves DEA from the Domincan republic they are asking for money. This is all fraud. this looks real but all fake, checxked with Washington this person doesnt exist
- Caller: Drug Enforcement Adm. DEA
- MadTexThis is soooo bogus. They told me they were with the U.S. Marshall's office and they had a bench warrant for my arrest and they had an officer coming to serve a search warrant. Funny I thought that the REAL Marshall's office searched your house and THEN arrested you if they found anything. Same for me as to the belligerent caller...sounded like he was from Cuba via New Jersey. I called them back to tell them that they had the wrong number. They asked what the number was and when I told them that they already had it because they had just called, they hung up on me. Must be some half wit, east coast thugs.
- Caller: would not identify the company name
- ElizabethI just got a call from this number and he said he was Mr Lopez with DC Customs on my voice mail. I have no intention of returning his call. Talked loudly and very fast, hard to understand.

- tina| 1 replyJust received a call scared me at first till I looked up the number and saw all these posts, they said they have a warrant to search my house and I would be getting arrested if I didn’t have lawyer call them back within 20 minutes since I said I didn't believe he was legitimate and I will be talking to my lawyer about this before I say anything else to you guys he got real mad as soon as I wouldn't cooperate and said I was interfering with a federal investigation and I was in big trouble. The scary part is he had my name and a lot of information he shouldn't have. I don't know what to do, I'm thinking of calling my local police department as I don't appreciate getting a call saying I'm going to jail for nothing. He said he was investigating online/phone drug companies and was part of the FBI or something and also said he was sending a Marshal to my house. Anyway I don’t get what he expects to get out of scaring me like this? He said his name was Richard Lopez, spoke with an accent and kind of hard to understand.
phone number he called me from was: (202) 629-9156- Caller: not sure
- LindaOne of my co-workers had this exact scam tried on her today! We called the REAL DEA in Washington DC because that was where the "agent" was calling from. Needless to say my co-worker was told of this scam. The DEA operator told my co-worker that they are the DEA they won't call you first they would just come and get you. SO if you get this type of call - remember that piece of advice - they won't be calling to tell you they are coming to arrest you, they will just come get you!!!!
Agent Bill Taylor, who also is the switchboard operator, and Agent Bill Campbell who became Agent Joe Campbell all with the SAME voice!!!!!!!!!!!!
when my co-worker called the fake DEA the same guy was on the switchboard, also a couple of different "agents"
By the way, we just happen to work in a bank and in the credit card department! - Marcy| 1 replyGot a call from the "DEA Agent David Harris." # 832-291-3662. He said I was in trouble for purchasing something over the Internet in 2007. I admit I did order sleeping pills at the time. He was so horrible. He said he knew my previous address and that I would be in big trouble with the DEA if ai did not pay a fine of $1500 to someone in the Dominican Republic immediately. I told him I didn't have that kind of money. He suggested that I tell my husband that I was buying clothes online or something to get that kind of money and get a neighbor to watch my children. If not, they would come to my house and arrest me, taking me away from my family. He also said I could have been importing cocaine or heroin in this package! I told him I would have to talk to my husband and lawyer. I thought it was strange so I googled some information. He called back and demanded money and I told him that I had spoken to my lawyer (which I had not) and told him that my "lawyer" said that a DEA agent would not ask for money over the phone and hung up. He has called each day after, sometimes four times a day. I am worried about reporting this since I did order Ambien online once. How can I get this jerk to stop calling me?
He has called 5 times today. I am worried about what this jerknis capable of. - lady gagaI just recieved a call from this Calvin Anderson stating that I have defaulted on a payday loan from 10/28. I asked him what the name of the loan company was and he could not tell me. However, what he did tell me was my name, address, ss#, bank account info, 2 personal friend names. I did ask him for the exact day of the loan but he can't provide anything then proceeded . I have contacted my bank and wouldn't you know it no funds were deposited in that time frame from a payday loan company.
He threatened me on the voicemails saying the sheriff's department will arrest me and good luck on my case that I will pay hard for this. Either Indian or Pakistani accent, doesn't speak english very well.- Caller: 347-349-7287

- LASColaI have read so many of these "if you don't pay in 20 minutes you will be arrested" complaints, that it's simply mind boggling. So think about it... what law enforcement agency would give a "courtesy call" that they are coming to get you, giving you ample time to get rid of any thing you may not want seen, and giving you the opportunity to run like the devil to avoid arrest? I mean if they already think you are a "crook", it would seem they would not warn such a dishonest person that they were on their way. Amazing scam, but since likely everyone has some closet skeleton to hide, this type of call would be disconcerting. No LE officer is going to give warning of impending arrest. Why do they often make large busts at 4:00 AM? They just show up to kick in the door, catch you when off guard and send you straight to jail.
- WVLIEB replies to drewOk. Charles Green is calling from 315-370-4352 telling me that if I don't respond to him that he will be taking me to court. I called the actual law office that he said which was Marc H. Richmon and that attorney had no clue who this guy was. CG got mad at me because I said he didn't sound like his name was Charles Green. lol then he hung up on me twice. WOW and he wants me to send him some money..RIGHT. I will be contacting my bankruptcy attorney and let them know that Cashnet has their goones on my back.. rotflma
