I am getting phone calls from the same number.  I believe it is a scam because they "claim" to be an attornies office but could not give me the name of an attorney.  When I told them I was reporting this number to the FBI they said oh you go ahead and do that, b**ch.  Very rude.  Funny thing is I changed my phone number and they keep calling for the wrong person!  When I tell them I am not who they are looking for they tell me I am lying, and say I must proceed with the federal proceedings aganist this woman.  I am going to call the Business Bureau and get something on file.

I just received a call from this number and the guy advised me he was calling from the "Attorney's Office of Cashnet" and asked me to verify the last four digits of my social and I advised him I was not going to do that. He proceeded to tell me all kinds of things and say I stole from them and so on. When in all actuality he needed to speak with someone other then me. I then advised him that I worked for the Sheriff's Office and he then disconnected my call. I have filed this with my agency. Hope this helps you.

Yesirree, I sure did that is exactly the same call OFFICE GREEN who threaten to have me arrested if I didnt call by that same day.  However when I called back and set my number to private he kept hanging up on me! Then when I mentioned I had a missed call from this number he would ask for my full name when I mention just a first name he wouldnt give me any information.  Please let me know if any of you have been successful in catching MR GREEN and his unethical standards of call with bogus false arrested threats.

Stop the calls

I just recieved a call from this Charles Green with The Brown Law Firm stating that I have defaulted on a payday loan from 11/07.  I asked him what the name of the loan company was and he could not tell me. However, waht he did tell me was my name, address, ss#, bank account info, 2 personal friend names.  He told me if my attorney did not contact him by tomorrow I would be served at work and fired from my job because it would show my boss that I am a thief.  I talked to him for a good 20 minutes trying to get more information out of him but he kept repeating that I would be served papers and fired tomorrow.  I did ask him for the exact day of the loan deposit he did provide that but then proceeded to tell me that I did not have enough time to verify with my bank that the money was actually deposited.  I have contacted my bank and wouldn't you know it no funds were deposited in that time frame from a payday loan company.  
The phone number he gave me is 202-629-9156 yet the number on my caller id is 496-909-8001.  He did have some sort of accent and he was very beligerent with me telling me that I was being rude to him.  I was questioning him as to why this was the first I had heard of some sort of payday loan and he kept repeating that in the contract documents I had printed at the time of the loan they had stated that the only attempt to get a hold of me would be through my email and it wasn't his fault that I either no longer had that email address or that I ignored my debts.  I'm quite a bit freaked out that he had all of my personal information and have already alerted the 3 credit bureaus to have an alert put on my accounts and also, closed my bank account in fear of this scam.  Any similar experience and how did you handle it?

Who is this, and why isn't the attorney general not doing anything?  What are we to do?

Just got another call from this number.  Now his name is Officer Charles Green not just Charles Green as it was yesterday.  he now states that if I do not call him back within 2 hours I will be arrested.

Here is the deal.  Call Cashnet (payday loan company) @ 888-801-9075.  Push the button that says you are in collections.  Tell the customer service person you have been getting phone calls stating that you owe them money.  They (Cashnet) have an open investigation regarding this.  The phone number for the investigation is 866-254-3581.

I received a call yesterday from this # at my job, the idiot said his name was Shawn Richards and that if I did not resolve the issue with cashnet, he was going to have me addressed from my poe.  I reported it to my local police dept and s/w cashnet and cashnet usa and they do have an investigation open.

I received the same call today - reported the number to FTC.gov for harrassment charges. these people are nuts. i asked what this was about, they had no information to provide. i was sworn at, yelled at and threatened. I also filed a complaint with the secret service.

I just received a call from 1-103-768-0433. Of course I was at work and had let it go to voice mail. So when I got out of work I listened to my voice mail, and this man who calls himself Office Green stated that I will be arrested if myself or my attorney does not call him back. Still have the voice mail. He even name my siblings and friends. So I called the number back that he left on my voice mail 1-202-629-9156,so when this poor speaking English man answered the phone I stated I had a voice mail to call this number back and he asked me my number and "transferred me" First his name was Officer Green and now it is Sean Richards, he was very rude, he stated that I took out a loan and never repaid it, I started to ask him questions regarding this and he would not answer any of them, he just kept stating that I will be arrested Friday from my job, and I will find out everything then. He knew the bank I was banking from, my job, my address, everything. Thank goodness that was old, cause HA I know longer bank there or live there or work there! But still! As I was getting very angry not getting answers I was getting upset, he was rude, called me names that I just ran off with the money and that I am culprit, and I will be arrested. He kept hanging up on me over and over, I kept asking to speak with a supervisor, and he kept saying what makes you think that I will send you to my supervisor he stated and would laugh and keep hanging up. So the last time I called I asked for the supervisor, and he told me to hang on, I was put on hold so many times for long period of times. The supervisor finally got on the phone and I just wanted to get to the bottom of this and all says is that do you think I should fire Mr. Richards. I was like come on I just want answers, but I told him yes, hes like OK I will do that. (WHAT A JOKE) So he continues to put me on hold to "check my account" he comes back and was like OK I looked into your account and you never did money deposited to your account, it has been closed, and then asks me if he could call me off business hours?!???

This needs to be stopped and dealt with, I am not happy and want to do anything I can in my power to take them down, I need all the info I can get and who I need to deal with!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Same thing happened to me they threaten to come to my place of employment and have me arrested. they told me i took out a loan on the internet and never paid it back. that i stole from them and i was going to pay... yes they dont speak english very well and they are mighty rude just dont give them any info and report to your bank so they put an alert on account also check your credit history.. if someone could please advise me on what my next step is because i would love to prosecute them to the fulliest.

I received two calls in the last 4 days saying that I should call Charles Green back or I will be arrested.  He threatened me on the voicemails saying the sheriff's department will arrest me and good luck on my case.  I called the cashnet number that was on an earlier post.  Also called the cashnet fraud line.  This foreign man was very rude and beligerent.  I only called him back once and did not return his call today.  That is when I called cashnet.  Lets prosecute these idiots!  The number to call back was 202-629-9156 but the caller id number was 1-037-680-433.

i gotta a call from mike saying my neighbor got a cashnet loan and didnt pay ans because she used my mom and i as a reference we had to pay 798 or go to jail i told them i didnt get no money and he said to bad and pay us the money by wire transfor the same day
