I too got a call from this number has anyone found out who it belongs too.
They are asking for 265.00 for a govt grant writer.

I too got a call from this person. He said his name was christopher micheals calling from the Federal Grants Office. He said he is handeling grants from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. I called Washington D.C. they have not heard of this person it is a scam! Do not send him the $265.00! This is a scam! I am turning him in to the FBI.

please go on www.Ic3.gov and report this to the FBI. I did and thay need to hear from everyone this scam operation has contacted!

They called and said the fgateam.com can get me a grant I gave 375 and I got scammed

Me and my husband just got scam by micheal landis we gave them $385 and we have not hear from him let.............This is such ashame that hard working people are being scam. What should we do.

Called about a legitimate grant application... acted as though I had already been approved. then asked for a deposti. when I asked what the money was for he then told me it was "for a Grant Writer Fee" ($265 up front then the remaining $200 within 21 days) This was to have someone write my proposal for me. When I asked him if I were able to do it myself, he said yes but that if I used their service they gauranteed it to pay off and if not that I would get my money back. He asked if I would be interested in using their service and I said well I will think it over for the next 24 hrs (time they said I had to ensure my spot) and he said "HAVE A NICE DAY!" and then hung up on me. IT IS DEFINETELY A SCAM. I REPORTED THEN TO THE FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION AND YOU SHOULD TOO!!! Oh yeah and his name was Rick Scott LOL! right with an accent to boot ;)

Yeah, it's a scam I sent the $265 and then $200 with legitimate hopes of starting my company.  The guy said his name was Paul Brooks of the Federal Grants Assistance Team in Washington DC.  I was supposed to have received the business proposal by December 18th,2009 well it is now Jan. 5th 2010,! and Mr. Brooks no longer calls me back when I leave a message with his answering service on this number or the 877-484-4184number.  [***] these people!!!  I am a single mama with 2 boys, I worked hard for my money that they so rudely scammed me out of, whats worse, I now have a DBA name, federal tax, and ge tax number (all very expensive in Hawaii) and no business to use them for!!!  DON'T FALL INTO THIS TRAP!!!!!  THERE MAY BE REAL GRANT MONEY OUT THERE BUT THIS AGAIN IS NOT THE WAY TO APPLY.  FEDERAL GRANTS ASSISTANCE TEAM OR FGATEAM.COM IS [***]!!!!  DO NOT SEND THEM ANY MONEY, REPORT THEM TO THE FBI AS SOON AS YOU ARE CALLED!!!

The number is a US Cellular number located in Westchester, DC.  They are also using 202-629 9589.  In my case the fellow helping me was Jeff Stein.  Everyone here should contact:  http://www.ic3.gov/default.aspx which is the Internet Crimes Complaint Center and is ran by the Secret Service, FBI etc....
