- Julie Seeley replies to Bzum| 1 replyI asked why a Federal Grant would go through Wal*Mart. I then advised them I was a full-time student studying Homeland Security. Mercy! Never was hung-up on so fast in my life!
If you have to pay money to claim a “free” government grant, it isn’t really free. A real government agency won’t ask you to pay a processing fee for a grant that you have already been awarded — or to pay for a list of grant-making institutions. The names of agencies and foundations that award grants are available for free at any public library or on the Internet. The only official access point for all federal grant-making agencies is grants.gov. - Dana replies to David RobinsonI got the same call. I played along for awhile. They didn’t even have my last name correct but said I had a good relationship the government. Lmao

- Shirley Y.I am naturally curious as to how they came about getting my number and email. What process is made to select people. I called and spoke to a man and there was lots of background noises like signals are in static. Funny they thought to get my bank info and all they have is a prepaid debit card that is not connected to a bank and I have not used it yet. It's a rather collection i just started. So I wish the con artists, identity theives good luck for there is no money on the card. I guess they were not counting on me to look up the numbers and do a little research on my part. I change passwords and emails like I do my clothes.

- Colette replies to Julie SeeleyYes same happen to me i. Question if it was the government why would you have to pay to get something that supposed to be free and any way the government does not call you they mail out letters
- Karen| 1 replyI just got the same call and because i LOVE messing with scammers I played along. First this is a google voice number. I used a fake name and the "grant Id" they provided me in our first conversation They must not keep track of names they call cause I used *67 to block my number.

- Danielle Carter replies to David RobinsonIt is definitely a scam!
- LindseyAt first I was confused because I’m waiting to get my approval letter from FAFSA for school and when she said something about a grant I thought it was them. Of course I fastly realized it was just a scam. But I played along and wrote down the call back number for the “Treasury” and my “confirmation number” lol. I immediately looked up the areas code and it said Washington DC so I look up the actual number and came across this website that validated my suspicion. The only difference is they never said anything about paying $250 maybe they would if I called that number. And they also said I could choose from a money gram, direct deposit, or a Visa card. That was the part that I was shocked bc I was like how can the scam me if I just choose the money gram but then I saw how everyone says they ask you to pay the $250. Anyways, anytime they want you to pay something the receive a big lump of money just laugh at them because that just makes no sense!

- JdoGot call saying I received a grant from the Federal reserve Bank in New York for $9,500. But I had to go pay $199 to activate a card. There is no Federal reserve Bank of New York that allows money just to be given out for no reason. Obviously yes this is a scam call so please be aware of it.

- John HughesI received a call from a woman who said for me to call this number and she gave me an authorization number that I was to use. While talking to her I asked her if she was a corksucker, I don't think she understood what that is so I asked her if she liked to suck corks and she said no. After I was done with her I called the number, they asked for my name and then a woman came on the line and told me about the moneygram etc when she was done I asked her if I sent her $300.00 would she suck my cork, she told me to go lick a [***], I asked her if I could lick hers while she sucked my cork, I suppose thinking about it was just too much for her and she told me to never call this number again and to my dismay she hung up on me. She must have been a Virgin.
