I received a call stating they are with the IRS and that I was committing fraud by withholding information that they had found after an audit. This time they picked the wrong lady, I have MS and am disabled. My income is not enough to even claim. When I told him he picked the wrong lady and I knew he was a scam artist he told me "F--- you" and hung up on me.

I just told these people off, When I call back this number says it's the internal revenue service and a heavy indian accent. Told them they ever call me back, I am calling the police. They accused me of hiding from the government!!!

I got a missed call from 202-657-4787 this afternoon stating I was being audit from the irs to contact them immediately. I called back and spoke to a gentleman who
1. Wouldn't give me his name
2. Sounded like a foreigner
3. Didn't have my correct address
4. Wanted my Social Security Number
I knew once he answered this had to be a scam but I don't want this to continue to happen to people.

Received a call from this number as well.  They left a message saying their the Federal Government and I was to call this number.  They said it needs to be resolved immediately but don't tell you what it's in regards to.

I have been receiving phone calls repeatedly for grant fraud from people saying I could get a grant. I didn't apply for a grant, so I have been telling them not to call again.
Today I received two calls telling me to call the number immediately because I committed fraud on my taxes and the IRS wanted me. They are robo-calls. They identify themselves as a law enforcement officer.

Hey y'all, I've been messing with these folks all day. Called back on my land line, the first time when I posted before they said IRS, I said nope no you're not hung up and reported it to the IRS online website form. Then I called back from another phone, they answered said same thing i said you're not the IRS, he got mad and hung up. Called again, from another phone and said I know you're not the IRS, and you can go to jail for impersonating them. They hung up really fast Lol now they won't answer back. It's quite comical how fast they can get caught. Please file reports diligently, so these jerks can get found. It's most likely they are calling from a SPOOFED number, so that is why it appears as Washington D.C. on your caller ID.

I got a call from this number today about 20 min ago. I tried to call back but no pick up, I was guessing it was a scam but just wanted to make I wasn't the only one. [***]  poeple that do this [***]!

Been receiving calls from all of these (202)#'s. Today it was (202)657-4787. I told him he was just a middle eastern sick fraud and that i reported the number. He started screaming at me and telling me to shut up and he was going to kill me. He was laughing and telling me to walk to my window so he could shoot me . Sick crazy weirdos. Has me a little worried with the threats . Hopefully they catch these sick b@$Tards

I called this morning (from CA) & I guess I woke-up this strong accent Indian man (& I don't mean American native Indian) I didn't give my name cuz their are a few people in my home.  But I did give my # to him.  He tells me that my # isn't on his list.  ????   Then I heard a screen door open & slam closed.  I got pist off!! Then responded that I'm going to go ahead & call the IRS to check up on this #   Cuz never should any person hear a screen door in the back ground or be talking to some for***g*r who has just woke up!!
So I go to my cell & ask Siri to find the address to this #.  Which has lead me to all this information that so many people are dealing with!   Thank Goodness my Mother wasn't home to answer that call!!   I would have came home from work to a very upset 78 yr old woman! Also greatfull that she doesn't know how to work the machine!!!

Same #.   Only I woke him up.  He isn't a fast thinker for sure!   Idiots

I received a call from this number today stating I needed to call them before my case went to court. I looked up numbers 202-21-4248 and 202-657-4787 and found out they are a land line in Washington DC right close to the White House. Sounds like a everyday normal scam coming out from that area on a daily basis. How unusual the government has a do not call list we citizens can use, but they can't stop the calls coming right out from under their noses.

The calls originate in India or Pakistan.  They spoof local numbers.  Being outside the US, the callers are beyond the reach of US law.  The US can't do anything and the local governments don't do much.  Invest in  a call blocker.

We just lost 1300 dollars in "state to state transfer fees" and he wants another 875. It was a girl at first at 202-398-4261in Washington D.C.  then she had us get a hold of Shaun Russell at 631-319-0343. This number says He is calling from sayville,NY. Even had a text from the federal bank supposedly. Now he is unreachable. I just wish we could get the money back.

Got a call from the same people everyone is talking about but the number they called me from is 914-288-5591

Do not answer call from this number 1-646-593-7774 or from any # claiming to be Shaun Russell. He is nothing but a scam artist. He took over $7000 in money from my gullible friend and now is asking for more money. Claiming that he works for Federal Reserve Bank in New York. He also received text messages from a 759-73 code stating he won this grant money.  This Shaun individual has a heavy Indian accent. Please don't fall from this scam like my friend did. We have reported this to the local police, fraud department at Federal Reserve Bank, Western Union and Money Gram. This scummy people need to be caught!! Which they won't but if I can warn at least one person about this scam I will sleep better at night.

here's a  few  other  numbers  posted  from  the   same  area  code  offering a  wide  variety  of  scams  /  fake  emails and  scams  after  posting  something  on   craigslist   (  old  scam  )  ...... collecting  for  non  existant  "  payday  loans "....free  money / scam  giveaways /  calling  on  behalf  of  a  humane  society..... $1,000's  in  free  gov't  money.........  etc  etc.....stories  change  out  all the  time......and  the  usual  nonsense!!!
