"Gary", obviously not his real name, with a very strong accent keeps calling me from this number, "claiming" that I have been awarded 7,000 dollars from the government. With the reason being, I've paid my taxes in the past & that I've never went bankrupt. He said I could receive it 3 different ways: 1.) Direct Deposit 2.) They could send me a pre-paid card or 3.) I could receive it IN CASH!!! (Through the mail..). I mean come on now!!! Who in the heck would send CASH MONEY through the mail?!!!! He asked me for a card number (which I did not give him). He gave me a conframation number and wanted me to go to wal-mart where I could receive my $7,000 by money gram.. I knew something was strange especially when he ask me to send him $250 as a security deposit (security for what lol), I guess security that I would definitely lose my money. Well I decided to research this on the net and discovered I was a target for some reason of this famous scam. Please don't be the next victim of this scam. I wanted to post this as many places as possible to heighten everyone's awareness.
