"Ben Aaron from the Tax Fraud Unit of the IRS" left me voice mail.  He said that they (the IRS) had discovered discrepancies in my tax return and I needed to call him back.  He did have an accent like someone from India.  A couple of people at work are from India and the accent mostly matches theirs.  It's nice that I am able to be the first to report this new phone number.  I guess they have made enough money off of this scam to buy additional phone lines.  The last time "Benjamin Aaron from the Tax Fraud Unit of the IRS" called me many months ago it was from phone number 202-657-5748.  I probably should notify the IRS about this, but why bother?

I also received an automated called from this number this morning from "ben" stating the same thing.  As Ben previously stated.  I find calls like this to be very disturbing.  I hope no one ever gives into them.

Same number with the same name called and left the exact same message for us also. I deleted it. I have had an issue with my tax return before and they notified me through the mail, never by phone....

This number called twice on 9/22/15 and both times it was a recording. No one actually speaks to you even if you answer. IRS would mail a letter and if REALLY important, a Certified letter. Ha - what idiots.

Same # called today, these same scam people may be out of the country with a accent from guess India, trying to steal from us. They steal our information from the WEB.... Same message about IRS..These are criminals out there and hope the USA Government will go after them all that are trying to steal from innocent people  who works very hard for their funds...IRS do not call, they send letters....

Ben Aarons I believe he said, accent was so heavy could not really understand but saw where Tom came up with the same name asking us to return call to number that was the same number reported to this site   Of course I checked out the number and see all these remarks on this number so,  good to know. He can eat my voice mail!

A friend got threatening call stating they were from the IRS and she owes $3,000.  Why hasn't she paid?  They are sending the police to arrest her...  Complete and utter nonsense.  The IRS communicates by mail.  They will not call you.

I received a call from Ben Aaron as well this morning.  Left a message he was from the IRS.  Well the IRS will send a certified letter and I do not owe any money to the IRS.  This is  a scam

Same caller left message. Not returning call.

Same number called me twice today.  Recording.  Waste of time even answering the phone.  IRS sends real mail using USPS.  Never phone calls.

Ben Aaron called me too. I hope no one falls for this.

Barely understandable tax scam, identical to other reports. Has called three times within two hours.
