This was a scam call. Tried to get money from me. Told me that they were from the Federal Reserve and had $10200.00 for me. Told me to get a green dot money pack for $180.00, go to Western Union, then give her a call back. After investigating the number and speeking with my bank and a detictive with the sheriff's dept. I knew it was a scam. Later that day she called me back and I told her that I know what she's up to. She hung up.

I GOT THE SAME PHONE CALL TODAY. 202-657-6705 I KNEW IT WAS A SCAM THE GOVERNMENT DOSE NOT CALL YOU TO GIVE YOU A FREE GRANT, YOU HAVE TO APPLY FOR A GRANT, ON A GOVERNMENT WEB SITE. JEFF 4/2/2014

I got a call from a foreign sounding woman who claimed that the government was giving me a
"free" grant for $10,200. If it sound to good to be true, then it is too good to be true.
She gave me an Id# and the infamous 202 number to call for my grant.  I called the number and
there was no answer.  This is probably because I gave them no information that they were fishing for.

A CALLER WITH A THICK MIDDLE EASTERN ACCENT SAID SHE HAD A GRANT BEING HELD IN MY NAME ISSUED BY THE US GOVERNMENT.  GAVE ME A CONFIRMATION NUMBER AND A NUMBER TO CALL 202-657-6708.  I KNEW IT WAS A TOTAL SCAM BUT WAS CURIOUS HOW MUCH THEY KNEW ABOUT ME SO I CALLED THE NUMBER FROM A DIFFERENT PHONE, GAVE THEM THE CONFIRMATION NUMBER AND THEN THE WOMAN WITH A THICK MIDDLE EASTERN ACCENT ASKED MY NAME.  I ASKED IF THAT WAS NOT PROVIDED TO HER BY THE CONFIRMATION NUMBER.  SHE TOLD ME THAT THEY CAN'T KEEP TRACK OF EVERYONES NAME AND HUNG UP ON ME.

I got a call from an unknown number and they had my phone number, name, address, and day idk how they got all that info i havent filled anything out recently. They gave me the 202# and an id # starting with cw. it was a middle eastern lady with a thick accent and you could hear others giving the same speech. Knew instantly something was up.

I just got the same lady,and number.

Got the same scam call. gave me ID # and asked to call 202-657-6708. Called ATT fraud department and they confirmed that this is a scam that can also be found on the IRS.gov web site. They may be trying to scam tax payers????

That same phone call with same number. You would think that they would have changed phone? They only want $200. I'm supposed to call back in four days after I get my $200 together. Smiles

I recieved a call saying I was randomly selected to receive a Federal Grant of $1,000.  They gave me a id code and told me to call 202-657-6705.  I knew it was a scam because the Federal Government is not in the business of handing out random money.  I called and ask the man with a heavy foriegn accent for his Government ID number and he told me is started with F U C *, which is when I hung up.

I got the same call I was told to buy a Wal-Mart Visa card and put $250 on there and I would receive the free gov't grant of $8,000 a total scam👊
