Received a call saying I had been chosen to receive a $7,000.00 PELL GRANT from the gov't, all I needed to do was pay a $250.00 wiring fee to receive it. Sounded good but a little hard to believe a call is coming from the U.S. gov't when the 2 people I spoke to were not from this country.

Just did a quick search on Pell Grants; the most you can get is $5,550.00 . That amount was just decreased in 2011 to $4,550.00 due to federal cuts. If you receive a call like this please DO NOT fall for this scam and report it some kind of way.

I received a call from the phone number 202-657-6729 stating that I qualified for a free grant of $7000, and I would pick it up from the Western Union office by paying a one-time, life-time payment of $250 out of pocket.  I don't recall the name of the company that called, as the caller had such a strong accent, I couldn't make it out even after having them repeat it 2-3 times.

Received a call stating the gov't has granted me $7000 I took the number down verified the info and immediately called.  The number given no answer so I call back the incoming call it was a non working number.  I knew it was to good to be true.  Scam Scam Scam

THEY CALLED FROM A  NUMBER 888-880-0000 AND TOLD ME TO CALL THE 2026576729 TO RECEIVE A 7,000 PELL GRANT GLAD I CHECK THIS SITE OUT FIRST I'M GOOD.

Received a call from this number saying that the federal gov. had selected me for $7,000 rebate of some sort from the federal government.  Call was extremely difficult to hear.....they gave me a number to call, 202-657-6729 and a code number to give them to claim my money.  They said I could receive the money thru western union.

In any case....I tried the number twice and spoke to two different people who after a couple of sentences diconnected from me.  When I tired to call the 888 number back it was disconnected.

I am sure this is a scam of some sort.  I would not even confirm the information that they provide over the phone.   I would just hang up!

i really believed this for a second .. but every time i called back the same person RICHARD LEE would answer .. if its a corporate office they would not send me to the same person every time.

Such a scam do not believe it...

Scam, when you get a grant, they will send you a letter, and you don't have to pay anything.  

I talked to someone name Brian Williams, he said he worked with the Gov.

they try to get me to send money threw western union in order to recieve $7,000

but is any one 100 percent sure about this

No one knows id try it but i don't have 250.00 so wat do we do i have no idea
