Wish they stop calling. They another 202 number. They don't  leave message and I call them back and they want me to hold for transfer.

So block the number. Heck, block the entire area code.

Number calls... says IRS .... I will be prosecuted if not return call

Didn't identify themselves; threatened me if my lawyer or I didn't return the call they would come down on me.Blacklisted.

Received a call. No voice message. Not in my contact list. BLOCKED.  Received a call earlier today from area code 202.  There was a voice message and like a previous report on 202-684-2824 was advised to return call or have my lawyer return the call.

The area code number 202 said they were fromI IRS and had important information. Gave case # her name and ID#. When husband told her he had not received any registered letter from them she hung up.

Asking to call about a criminal law suit....

No such thing.  You can have a civil lawsuit, or you can have criminal charges.  In the former you simply go to court after about a year of wrangling between the lawyers.  In the latter, the police come, pick you up, give you some pretty silver bracelets to wear, and take you to the greybar hotel.  The IRS is an administrative agency.  They don't sue people because they don't have to.  They don't arrest people, again because they don't have to.
I simply can't understand that with all the publicity, people still have never heard of this scam, one that has actually cost people millions, as opposed to the imaginary "yes" scam that everyone seems to know about but still hasn't cost anyone on single red cent.
IRS Scam:

The IRS does not need to sue anyone.  They also do not bother arresting people for a few thousand dollars.  They don’t send the local police or Sheriff to arrest you.  They are also now claiming you’re your house in under surveillance and that a warrant has been issued for your arrest (the “cops” will be there in 45 minutes to an hour).  Everything they do is done either administratively or using Federal Agents.   They don’t call you up and demand immediate payment. If you are going to be arrested, they don’t call you up to warn you.  They only issue arrest warrants for people who are really bad actors and have tried to stick them for very large amounts of money, not a few hundred or thousand.  Administratively, they send you first class letters delivered by the Post Office.  Several of them.  Ignore those, and they then send certified letters that you need to sign for.  Again delivered by the Post Office.  Ignore those and they simply freeze your bank accounts and anything else you own.  If they can do that, then why would they bother with a court case that might take them years before they get in front of a judge?  The IRS does not accept payment in Itunes Cards, Amazon gift cards, or any other type of payment other than cash, check, credit or debit card (from normal everyday citizens). Note that the IRS has been mandated by Congress to use private debt collectors.  They are still obligated to send you letters prior to the calls from the debt collectors.  The debt collectors are obligated to follow all FDCPA laws to collect funds and they are not allowed to ask you for immediate payment over the phone.
