I received a call from a man with a accent telling me I been selected to receive 7000 free grant money, in order to receive the grant money u have to pay a one time fee of $280..I figure this was a scam, the man name is Robert Smith he called me from 2026843323

I receive that same call and a man with an accent said I have been selected for a grant for 7000 and i will receive it in 15 to 20 minutes on my card ask me how I want to receive it and I said prepay card and then I taught they was going to send the card in the mail they proceed to ask me for the prepaid card number and I gave them a card number I kept asking this guy information and also ask him is name he said Ricky mooray then he gave me an approval number along with a phone number to call account to verified the info to put the money on the card I ask him do I have to pay any money he said no this money is grant from the government and you don't have to pay back I then told him ifind it hard to believe you he said well mamma this is the government you don't  believe the government off course I said no I don't believe the government so anyway I hang up with him and call the number he gave me to call a guy name Nelson Webb he is the one to approve and put the money on the card ok so I call him and no answer in the next 5 min I got a call back from the same number I just call a guy with an accent came on now call me stupid but it sound like the same guy I spoke to the first time and the back ground sound the same like he was in the same place I know we as  this this guy told me to give him the aprroval number and verified my info then he said what i was waiting for since i receive the first phone call thet i a 280dollars fee that the government want to pay they donate it to a charity so i just gave him mr dial tone cause that confirm that thus is so [***] scam .as human would love to receive money but if we not carefully people out there are really cruel to the fact that messing with anyone can become consequences.

Look-alikes aren’t the real thing.

Just because the caller says he’s from the “Federal Grants Administration” doesn’t mean that he is. There is no such government agency. Take a moment to check the blue pages in your telephone directory to bear out your hunch — or not.


Phone numbers can deceive.

Some con artists use Internet technology to disguise their area code in caller ID systems. Although it may look like they’re calling from Washington, DC, they could be calling from anywhere in the world.

A complete an utter scam.  Preys on people who have ever searched for loans, or money making opportunities on the internet so be careful where and what you search for online as well as what contact info you release.
