Recieved a call from what caller ID showed 91611.  The caller said I was to recieve a $5,000.00 check from the goverment.  And I needed to call 202-684-3488.  Needless to say I have not called that number.  I am sure it is a scam.  I asked if his name was Peggy !!!

I called the number.  They want a $190 processing fee in order to get the grant.  So it is a scam.

I called the number because I wanted to tell them to stop calling me. Some guy from India picked up the phone and said I should give him $190.00 for $5000.00. I said hellz no. I also told him I would call Consumer Affairs. He said ok and then hung up.

I received a call from (202)684-3488 and was told that all I have to pay was 109.00 to receive 5000.00 through Western Union. I asked them for a website to look up the information on this and they gave me www.grant.gov. I tried pulling it up and the webpage could not be opened. I contacted local police and they are investigating this issue.
