IRS phone scammer.

I got a call say that you have IRS law suite. Pl call above no.

I received a voice message on my answering machine purporting to be from the IRS which is "announcing it is filing suit against me" and to call this number. Needless to say, I'm not. This occurred 4/29/15 at 5:37 PM Eastern Time.

Got 2 calls from this number 202 684 6574  just like the above messages.  They left a voice message stating I was being sued by the IRS and to call this number which is supposedly their "department".  It's a scam. The IRS will mail information out not leave a voice message if they want to notify you of anything especially something as important as a suit.

There is a widespread IRS (or CRA) or "tax scam" being  practiced by scammers on both USA and Canadian residents.

Short answer:
The IRS never initiates a contact via phone.
They always send a snailmail first.

Recieved vall today stating i was being sued by irs to call  this number back. 202 -684-6574.

I got a call on my answering machine last night saying that they were the I.R.S. and I was being sued. They left this number 202-684-6574 for me to call them back. I know that the I.R.S. will mail you a letter if that was the case, not call you on the phone.

received call on April 29th, 2015  at 10:44 AM and on April 30th from same number - left message - claim Urgent Notice - IRS is suing --call back this number 202-684-6574   ---was a recording

Received a VM msg from 202-684-6574 around 9am Pacific Time 4/30/15 stating the IRS was filing a suit against me and to call that number back immediately. This is why I NEVER answer calls from phone numbers I don't recognize. And I NEVER call back VM msg numbers without checking them out online.
