I received an unwanted call and unjustified scam call from 202-684-6895

You might consider investing in a call blocker.

Origianal call came from 885-993-8144. With a message from "IRS saying they are suing me". My immediate reaction was AHAHAHAHA. the caller elft a vociemail to return call at 202-684-6895. I did NOT call back of course. IRS doesn't do business like that. SCUM.

Received a robo call say IRS was filing a arrest warrant for my husband immediately.  Said we had not paid our taxes for 5 yrs we owed $3986.00  needed to pay immediately over phone if didn't have that amount what could I pay.  I have dealt with IRS for many years they don't work this way.  I told her I had to look into matter she said if we didn't pay today they would see us in the courthouse.  Gave a name of Maxine Brown with a badge #ML1045.  I hung up

My husband received an automated voicemail from 845-793-8044 claiming to be the IRS.  She said the IRS had been trying to reach us and this was the last call they would make to us.  She said the IRS is filing a law suit against us and to call 202-684-6895.

I received a recorded call on voicemail from 875 193 8544 stating that the IRS was filing a lawsuit against me and that I should call 202 684 8544 for information about this case. The message repeated a second time then the message ended. I called both numbers back and the recording on the line said my call could not be completed as dialed.  The IRS always sends written notice so I'm in the camp of this is a scam.

I got a voicemail today at 12:11pm from 885.393.8444 stating the IRS was getting ready to sue me and to call back 202.684.6895. I called the number back and will not lie, I was livid when I called so I was not very pleasant. The gentleman who picked up the phone was Middle Eastern and difficult to understand. He asked for my name and what phone number I was calling from. After a few minutes of tring to get him to understand how to spell my name and what number I was calling from, he then told me I owed $3,396.11 from taxes filed 2008-2013. The IRS would put a lein on my home, take my driver's license, seize my properties, take my bank accounts, etc. I asked him why the IRS hasn't sent anything in the mail then I said, "no disrespect but I am having a really hard time understanding you, can you get someone else on the phone or send the information in the mail?" He hung up on me.

Told me that IRS was trying to get in touch with me about $4,968.00 tax miscalculation. Southern Asian sounding guy said there is only two ways to resolve it was to wire money directly or the police in "my county" (I live in a city) would come to my door.

Claims that they are the IRS, Internal Revenue Service and that they are filing a lawsuit against us.  That we need to call immediately.  Caller ID showed 855-993-8544.  The automated message said to call back 202-684-6895.

Total scam.  Originates in either India or Pakistan.

Received a message on the answering machine like others stated above stating the IRS was filing  suit against me.  Glad I looked the number up here. There should be a way to report these :"??/)(% to the authorities.

I received an automated call from (426) 452-8632 this morning, December 4, 2014, at 9:06 am PST. Call went to voice mail. Automated message, in a woman's voice, said verbatim ...

"We have been trying to reach you. This automated message should be considered as a final notice from IRS, Internal Revenue Service. The reason of this call is to inform you that IRS is filing lawsuit against you. To get more information about this case file, please call immediately on to (202) 684-6895. I repeat, (202) 684-6895. Thank you."

I am in finance and I pay my taxes every year - there is absolutely no way that I would be sued by the IRS, plus I've never received a notice from the IRS.

This has to be a scam.

Identical to other accounts - IRS is going to sue me ...final opportunity to call - what a joke - IRS writes letters way before calling you.

Just got called from anonymous at 901-254-8953. Same crap about the IRS filling a law suit and this is my final notice.
