Call shows up on phone list and no message is left.

BEWARE.  The caller spoke with a thick accent.  He called pretending to work for my bank, gave my daughter our name and address in an effort to secure her trust.  Said that $300 had been taken from our account and he wanted to return the money but needed her to confirm the bank name.  Called back later from "Private Caller 202-684-8866."  Called the numbers and received a message stating that the calls could not be completed as dialed.

Called.  When I answered, the person asked for the owner of the house.

just got a call from this #-tried calling it back but wont go thru-if it is a sales call of some sort then they must have something to hide or they are up to something shady

The caller has a accent, He uses different methods and should not be trusted. He called me on Wed evening and said he was from a loan company  and said I was $15,000 in debt and his company will help me out. I told him I was not in debt and not to call again.

He call again Thursday, this time he was from a mortgage company. I   blessed him out and told him I was recording his call and he hung up.  I called my phone co and had his number blocked.

when you call his number it says it is disconnected.

this number is related to 202 - 684-8051.  Also received calls from 202-684-8051 and 8055.  Called both numbers and recording says "cannot be completed as dialed".  I never answer the phone if I don't know who is calling, and deliberately have no answering machine hooked up.  Ha Ha Ha to those idiots trying to call me!!!

Caller claimed I had a free prize and all I had to do was pay for shipping.  I told him that I would like to pick the prize up in person since his area code was DC.  He obviously didn't realize I was pulling his leg and  not interested and continued to to try to pursuade me to pay for shipping.  After he realized I was jerking him around he got very upset and we exchanged every insult known to the English language. I asked him to remove me from his call list and he told me to "[***] off"  and that he would call everyday just to piss me off.

I received a call today from 202-684-8055.  If I can not identify a number I will not answer it.  However, to verify unknown calls, I google the number, and not to my surprise I seen the reports on this ignorant individual.

Thanks for your comments provided from this number, and coming together to stop and expose this nonsense.

Got a call from them wanting bank stuff. I asked him if he would like to come over to my house and go target shooting. I then told him he didn't need to bother because I was going to hunt him down then cut him from ear to ear to see if that would help him find Jesus. Because he was going to need him on his side when I found him.

202-684-0142 the number appears late at night and there is heavy breathing, loud music, cursing and burping and its very disrespectful and irritating, everytime, I call the number back and all I get is music and more disrespect please stop it

I got a call from 202-684-8729. It sounds very similar to what everyone is describing here. This individual spoke with a very heavy accent and would call multiple times. The person stated that I was in Debt and that a lawsuit was going to take place if I did not provide him with any information. This person wanted to know my SSN, but before I would even think about giving it to him I asked him for his mailing address. The person responded with DC District 1. I told him that I wanted the mailing address for his company. He told me to get a pen and paper to write the address down and when I told him I was ready, he just hung up on me. Be careful this person is using scare tactics to get what he wants. Next time that he calls back I will inform him that I have already contacted the FTC about him.

I got a call from an unknown number, and was told that i had been selected to recieve a 50,000 dollar grant, for my personal use as long as it was not illegal activity, from the US Grantz Dep. I called the US Grantz Dept. to report the of course I was transfered around then hung up on. Then I called again finally got thru reported the call and gave them the call back number they gave. That number is 202-684-6461

I just got the same call offering $5,000. This is crazy! So I am just going to assume it's fraudulent, I guess.

I received a call from an unknown number yesterday and was given the phone number (202)684-6461 to call back. My number has been in the do not call registry for a few months now, so I am going to do a complaint on the call back number.

I got an unknown call but i answered anyone since i am job hunting and thought it might be an employer calling. To my suprise a man with a thick accent and slow speech begins to tell me that I have won a free 5,000 grant from the government. He even told me why i was selected. He had my name and address obviously my phone #. Only problem was he had my first name as Hayes and last name as Danielle. I corrected that. He gave me a code and a phone # to call. 202 684 6461. said to speak to susan berry right away so that i could tell them where to send the money.

When we hung up i called my mother and told her what had happened. Way to many red flags going off in my mind. She checked google and found all this bad stuff about it. HORAY for these great websites who save us from Evil scammers.

I just got the call for government grant for $5k, I'm just wondering how they got my number. The only thing I can think of is that I purchased an auto warrenty through Direct Buy, and now after I canelled it, I"m getting all kinds of calls, they had all of my address information as well. Anybody else go through Direct Buy Warrenty out of New Jersey? Just curious about my hunch.

Romney Campaign again.  After pushing 1 enough times to get connected to "sign the petition" and make an "emergency contribution",
this time she waited about 4 minutes before hanging up while I "go get my credit card".

Romney campaign bothering me.  I would never, ever vote for someone who harasses me on the phone.  Why on earth do you think this will work?  It won't.

You are turning off more people with these calls than you are persuading people to vote for you.
