Sent a text message "Your SAM.GOV registration for CAGE code XXXX needs action to avoid account suspension, please call 202.684.8823." from phone # 202-846-2271.  These scumbags try to trick you into paying hundreds or thousands of dollars to do something you can do in minutes for free at the actual sam.gov website.

that is true.  I used them accidentally one time then found out the $600 they charged me was for a free service. They use a website that mimics the governments website and then won't leave you alone after.  I agree, Scumbags!!!

At it again with the spam text message "SAM Help Desk Alert: Your System for Award Management registration for DUNS# XXXXXXXX is expiring soon. Call 202.684.8823, to avoid suspension."  This time sent from phone # 202-804-3820 (now also blocked).

This is one of many companies that try to get you to pay hundreds or thousands of dollars to renew your business's federal government SAM registration, a free and painless process, by sending deliberately vague messages like this to make it appear they are a federal government agency.  Note the use of the 202 Washington DC area code and nature of the message

Exactly - you do NOT need to pay an agency to renew your registration, I got the same junk message. Don't fall for it! Mine came from 202.883.7567
