Got the same call.  Child answered phone came running to me telling me it was the emergency broadcast signal sound he hears on TV every now and again on test mode.  Absolutely f-n unconscionable.  We have one registered repub in the household (not me, could you guess?) and he's ready to switch to another party in part due to the extreme radical nature of the "conservative majority" group that is one of the biggest robo-callers and false ads out there.  I hit the number to donate, got put on hold, live operator came on and I gave her an earful.  This one has gone too far making it sound like the public emergency broadcast call one would place in a real emergency.  I'd say shame on this group or anyone who supports, but I don't think that emotion would ever register with these arrogant liars.

Just to clarify, computer lines used for phone lines are always on.  The dialtone and reciever cradle is just a throwback so we are comfy with it.  I guess that would mean they can always tap it since it is technically always active.  

And guess what, if you try to teach your kid to dial 9-1-1 in an emergency even if you never take your phone off the cradle it will go through.  I learned this the hard way when we practiced it (with the phone never, ever off the hook!) and police showed up at our door.  That is actually pretty cool, but scared the guacamole out of all of us in this family.  Police officer told me even if you hit 9 and nothing else it is directed to 911.  That's why they are no longer issuing phone numbers with 9 in the beginning or using 9 as the transfer number inside company lines.  

If you use a bundle package for phone, computer and cable then you technically have a "computer" phone line and it is always on!

Got this same call.  Answered and it sounded like the national emergency broadcast signal.  Over the line calling the President a traitor and should be prosecuted for using the emergency broadcast sound in such a manner to misrepresent the call.

We gotta stop these nutjobs.  Take 5 minutes to do more than complain on sites like this (while totally cathartic, I'm guessing that is all they do for us) and let our government know when you have had enough!

I'm not as enlightened as you bozos, if a caller ID isn't there, I simply set the phone down and wait until the busy signal occurs, then hang up. If they do have an ID I choose whether to answer or not. I can't understand why the bozos choose to listen to the entire garbage sent via telephone, you deserve it.

I just reported this number to the FCC - thanks for the advice.  The form was very easy to complete.

There ought to be a law mandating telephone companies to provide a free service permanently blocking unlimited lists of numbers at the request of the subscriber.

Just received a call from this number. Sounded like an emergency broadcast signal. They said Obama name was really Gary (something) and he changed his name when he moved back from Indonesia. They have proof he is not a legal US resident. His birth certificate is a fake. They want $3 to expose Obama. Whatever...........

It was asking for a donation to help with the release of new facts about Obama's birth certificate.  From reading what others have wrote it seems that some are upset to hear anymore about this subject.
Just please tell me why the "change" he brought us over his entire four year term was a disaster.  Say what you will but it seems to me that he said all this to get elected.  He won't get my vote this time.
....and now he is demanding the Egyptian Army give control to the Muslim Brootherhood...go figure.  Maybe he will give another apology for the USA.

I got this call also.  I called the FBI!  They didn't seem to think it was a big deal, said it was "politics".  Since when in this country is it legal to slander the President of the United States Of America using the telephone!  This is TREASON plain and simple!  Obviously if there was "proof" of these ridiculous allegations it would be all over CNN.  And of course they are asking for money.  Also I think that Donald Trump should be prosecuted for his little stint on Wolf Blitzer saying that the president's birth certificate was not real, and a lot of people think so.  But when asked 'who' thinks that, he is not naming names.  Come on people!  This is beyond politics.  The integrity of this country is in jeopardy.  Where is this going to stop?  I am writing an email to CNN and see if they may be interested in getting public opinion and expose these traitors for what they are.  This has nothing to do with Obama Care.  This has to do with TREASON against the President that the people of this country elected in a Democratic society!

He should be procecuted for trying to sway the election with NO PROOF of what he is chanting about!  If there was any proof to these allegations, let the 'produce' it.  The same way the President 'produced' the birth certificate after all the ranting they did.  Wake up, this is getting out of control.  The people elected this President, and he deserves the same respect and honor as any other President, on that merit alone.

Some of us 'bozos' run businesses from our home.  Therefore we answer calls from outside our own area code.  Just saying, look outside of your own circumstances once in awhile, there is a whole world out there you are missing.....

I have seen where this is a called endorsing the Republican candidates  but it is NOT an authorized call.  When you call the number back, you do not get an answer.  I am sick and tired of these calls every day but am beside myself as to how to get rid of them.  The Do Not Call registry is a joke.

Called the FCC as mentioned earlier in this thread about a disturbing phone call I received last night from this number.  They were very helpful and directed me to call the FTC at 1-877-382-4357.  When I called that number they confirmed that they were the ones to call and took the complaint.  If I get any more from this number I am to call them back and report them again.  She also suggested I post on this site their number for anyone else who wished to report this disgusting message.  This type of robo call is illegal whether you are on the Do Not Call list or not.
