Spammer sent a slide I did not view.  I would have to download it first -- I'm not curious enough to risk it.
To report spam text on a Verizon mobile phone dial: 772-6
The prescribed remedy is to text back: "STOP"
which when I do, immediately I get a reply that I have successfully unsubscribed.
The problem with this remedy is that now whoever it is, now has confirmed that mine is a working number with a human at the other end.
I find this disturbing that I have to unsubscribe from texts (and emails) that I never subscribed to in the first place.
There has to be a way to report them without responding to them.

Debt collectors?  I have no debts!  Everything I own is paid for.  I have one credit card with a 4K limit and the balance is ZERO. I have a home equity line of credit 60K and the balance is ZERO.   All of my bills are paid on time every time.  My insurance policies (life, home, auto) are all prepaid annually.  There are no judgments against me.  What would real debt collectors be doing calling me?

Same as above, a spammer saying they are a dept collector from number 202-791-4013 and their call back is 866-470-0171.  no debt and not texting the STOP which was at the end of the text received.  Just googled to confirm my suspicion that they were a spammer and will delete / block the number w ATT.  this too does not seem to work.  the number of spam text and calls I get saying everything from my IRS refund is in danger and this is their 3rd time trying to reach me to now this - dept collector for no identified debt. Someone really needs to invent a way to stop this mess and the increase in their calls / text each day.
