Fake Federal Grant!!!!!!!

i got a call from this number 202 808 3679 and they said i was getting some money is this fake are what dont say im getting money and this is fake thats wrong.

Got this call from this number 202 808 3679 about a  wanna know if I got scam or that's messed up if it is.

When its a grant its doesn't mean give money to get money. I hate liar's and fake crap.

Im confused if this is real or not!

some  are landlines...many  are  cell phones...some  are  spoofed  and  linked  to  offshore foreign call centers  /  countries !!!!
we've  traced  back  most  of  these  numbers  to  offshore  foreign    call centers  in  INDIA /  THAILAND / AFRICA  /  JAMAICA  ETC....

here's a  few  other  numbers  posted  from  the   same  area  code  offering a  wide  variety  of  scams  /  fake  emails and  scams  after  posting  something  on   craigslist   (  old  scam  )  ...... collecting  for  non  existant  "  payday  loans "....free  money / scam  giveaways /  calling  on  behalf  of  a  humane  society..... $1,000's  in  free  gov't  money.........  etc  etc.....stories  change  out  all the  time......and  the  usual  nonsense!!!

**   mysteriously  call to  claim  they  have  several  thousand  of  dollars  to  send  you....just  provide  your  bank  account and  credit  card   right  away   etc etc.........scam scam

several  of  these are  the  usual   long  ongoing  scams   such  as  :  you  have  won a  free  walmart /  bestbuy  gift  card....or  you  have  won a  free  ipad  etc......all  long  ongoing  scams

I gave my credit card info ... what's gonna happen?? WHY HAVEN'T THEY BEEN SHUT DOWN IF THEY'RE FRAUDULENT??!?  :(((

Contact your credit card company and explain that you have been the victim of a scam.  They may be able to remove the charge.  They will also cancel your card and issue you a new one.  

The call centers running this scam are located outside the US, usually in Asia, India or Africa.  They use caller ID spoofing to make their numbers look like a US number, in this case one from Washington, DC to trick people into believing they are actually with the US Government.  There is not much that can be done unless the country they are operating from cooperates with the US to shut them down.

I knew when I answered the phone none of them could speak good English. My husband was in here all excited saying Lord thank you I can pay my rent now! Glad we didn't fall victim to their selfishness. Only a selfish person will take from people who are less fortunate.

This is a scam from people in other countries...they are nasty disgusting people who are terrorists and only want to steal from college or your students!

My daughter who is in CA for school fell for it but only gave them her debit card number, I knew when she told me about it that it was a scam so we immediately reported to her bank institute.  I also called my local FBI agency and I gave them all the numbers these [***] had called from.  I was told to file a report at www.FTC.gov  I immediately did and I also reported identity theft to all 3 credit bureaus and the social security administration and we filed a report with her local police department.  These [***] are violent and they threteand my daughter demanding a bank account!  Please do as I did, we have to put a stop to terrorist [***] who take advantage of our young people and elders!  The numbers I have are as followed:  202-808-3679, 202-666-1040, 202-247-0078.  The person who calls goes by the name of Sam Beter!  Please be aware and don't fall for these [***]!  Report them!

Got a call from a fluke chump named Sam Peter or Beter,fortunately I'm a predicate prior felon that knows the government isn't too much into giving...so I couldn't understand why with the mistakes I've made in life,why the government would be giving me grant money. I wish I could be face to face with this scammer,"it would be another one of my mistakes"

Government Grant money Scam.  Loyalty Financial Assistance Fund.  I got a call today stating that I was a lucky citizen and was being awarded Grant money from the United States Treasury located on 200 Pennsylvania Avenue, Washington DC, 20201  in the amount of $8,400.00 that I dont have to pay back.  Then they asked  me for my bank account number or Credit card number to load the money into.  They were very insistant that this was legit.  They informed me that the FBI was monitoring the calls.  I of course was very hesitant to give them any information at all. They told me that all I had to do was give them this informaiton and the money would be in my account in 45 mins.  I then asked for their name and he said Peter Parker.  That was the RED FLAG.  Spider man was going to give me $8,400.00.  I hung up.  BEWARE
