I would like to know if this call is a scam

Yes it is a scam.  Several reports show the number being used for various scams which are most likely located in India and Pakistan  Trust me, The Federal Reserve is not gong to cold call you.  All communications from government agencies are by US mail. Ignore and block the calls.  You might want to block the entire 202 area code.  The scammers just love to use that code when they spoof numbers.

Just received a call from this number trying to get my account info so they could deposit a government grant. Kind of funny since I know they won't call to give money away. Just figured I'd let everyone know that this number is trying to scam people also

got calls from these people for the last 4 days, each time my grant is for $9200, but today i got a call for one for $7k, then again for the $9200, i listened to the whole shpeal, called the number and provided the reference number, the catch is you have to go to cvs or walgreens, and buy a $200 iTunes card! before you buy it though you have to call back to let them know that your buying it now, for registration so you dont have to pay taxes on this amount, but you also need to save all reciepts bc at the end of the year someone can show up on your doorstep wanting proof that you didnt spend it illegally? this is a total scam!
