This was an "approval number" given for me to receive govt money. I SD they scam artists and the guy starts getting loud, I hang up. Be careful out there folk.

If dieing of cancer isn't  bad enough.  I get a call saying I was approved for a free grant from our government  of $ 9,000. This is a horrible  thing to do to a person that is desperate to find money for my wife so when I die she can have everything taken care of.  Now she wants to go with  me  and mix iur ashs together.  Because it's cheaper that way.  Not that we really want it like that.  But what can you do when  your both disabled.  And ones dieing.  She get disabled.  But my lawyer lied to mr for 5 years saying my case was in apiles   But it wasn't.  They lied.  And now I don't  qailfy fir disability.  So I get a crapy $92.00  A month to try to live on.Every dime we have goes to bills and meds. Then we get this call a little joy filled our haerts. Just to find out it was a BIG FAT LIE!!!!  Why aren't these guys in gail. Thry claim to be our goverment and here to help it's peole. What a joke. Our govermint could care less about us. When people in the great USA most who fought for our great contry are starving, sitting in the dark, with no runing water and eating cat and dog food. Trying to figure out witch medicason they can afford this time.  We know hands on how that is.  Then to get a call with a bit of hope. To find out once again your being screwed. Just makes yiu want to quite life all ti gether.  This [***] anit wourth it.

Did not recognize the number, so did not answer.  Called the number back, and after a delay, received a busy sound.  Tried a few times, must only be able to make out-going calls to us!

Same scam as all the above comments.  Telling me I received a government allowance for $9000.  I told them told them that I wasn't interested and hung up.  Remember nothing in life is for free! Your a fool or a dreamer if you think otherwise.

My mom got a got from the same exact number $9000 blah blah , then started yelling "[***]" and "you are so sexy" "[***]" , people are really disgusting

A guy named Wilson, I think,  started talking when I answered. He burped then he laughed and then he hung up.

I say if you don't recognize a phone number on your caller ID, then don't pick up. A gentleman called me the other day looking for someone else. He called me 3 time, in a row.  Thought it might be an emergency.  When i asked him what he wanted he said he was from some collection agency and that was being sued.  I said "i dont think so" and hung up on him.  He called me back again, and rudely why i hung up on him.  I said, "i dont have to talk to you, you are harrassing me and you can be arrested because you are breaking the law." Then i hung up on him again and he hasn't called me back.  So, dont answer your phone.  My phone number is unlisted eriod and on "Do Not Call List." How the hell he got my number, i don't know. What i did find out is that now some people are using their cell phones and they can hide their phone number so you can't report their number.  And cell phones can't be traced.

I got a call from this number 3 times today.  The last call they left a voicemail saying my nick name several times and my birth name several times and then he said the city that I live in. Very creepy and very disturbing!!!  Please comment if you got the same!!  Thank you!!

They had grant money in the amount of $9000 if I gave my bank info. I called the attorney general in my state and gave the number and story. I highly suggest all others do the same.

That number called me two times. The first time I already knew that it was a scam because caller Id said it was from Egypt with a Washington DC area code.

These numbers keep calling my cell phone who is it

This number called my cellphone and my husband's. Government grant money for $9000, wanted $270 to transfer money. My sweet husband is sometimes a fool and gave them his bank info. I told him to immediately close his account, which he did. Two days later they called my cell phone. I have no idea how they got our numbers.

Most scams use robodialers. This is your typical advance fee scam. As long as the account was closed and no money taken you should be fine.
