got a call from this #, did not answer, no voicemail and can't call back. i get a LOT of these and usually it's a fake warranty or CC claim; all scammers

Called my cell; no one on the other end.

They called twice today. After reading the reports here, I blocked them without answering.

Missed call. From DC (don't know anyone from there). No VM message. I've received so many calls like this and all of them are scams.

Caller did not leave message.  I did not answer since it was an unknown number to me, especially with a Washington DC area code and prefix.  This is the fourth similar type of call today.  Sure must be boring in that cave in middle earth.

No identification and no voice mail left.

Scam on credit cards

The danger of this scam is that it sounds like it might be legitimate.

Robot call telling me I needed to lower my credit card interest rate. I don't have any credit cards. Enough said

Please stop these from calling.  I get 2-4 calls a day!

Been using Mr. Number to block unwanted calls for bout 3 yrs. Pretty happy with it. Anyone raves out there their block app?  Take care.

I was receiving calls from this number and about 30 others 10 - 15 times per day over a 30 day period. They say they are with a federal agency and I am either due money or I am being sued by the IRS. Some of the numbers I have called right back and they are "no longer in service" or I got a recording that all representatives are busy, leave my name and number for a call back, which I don't do.

Nobody worth talking to calls me on my landline. I have started answering the phone in a recording-like voice with: "The number you are calling from has been reported under the Tele-communications Fraud Act.  Please hold for the next available agent to answer questions regarding the nature of your business.  You are hereby advised that all calls are being recorded and traced."   I rarely get past the first sentence before the caller hangs up and I've never had anyone stay on after the last sentence.  The calls have decreased significantly in number and frequency to about 2 per day and always from numbers outside my local area code.
