Left message saying they have a federal court case and if I don't call back I will be sorry

Same threatening robot as above.

I keep getting calls from this number 202-851-6847 they leave message they are with dept of treasury and leave threating voice messages I need to stop ignoring their calls and that im to appear to a magistrate judge for criminal offense. I have no clue what this is about.

Threatening electronic message claiming from US Treasury that ends very unprofessionally saying that if you ignore this message the only thing I can say is good luck to you.  I'll call the US Treasury using a different number to confirm, but this smells like fraud.

What you have described sounds like an overseas IRS scam that has been reported in the news. They tend to be based in countries like Pakistan and India which makes next to impossible to take any kind of action against unless the country of origin is willing to get involved.

Robo call from 202-851-6847 about a federal court case and if I ignore their calls and don't "get" an attorney "you will be sorry."  I am a certified paralegal, attorneys are retained, not gotten, and if I am named in a federal case, it is the plaintiff's duty to provide me with a copy of  the court filed documents to via service by a licensed process server.  And the plaintiff must prove to the court that proper service was made.  The documents include a summons notifying me of the amount of time I have to respond to the lawsuit and the Complaint filed in federal court.  This type of SCAM is despicable!  They are preying on people that do not know the legal process and get scared they are in trouble by the juvenile threat and by telephoning!  Sorry dumb-[***], that's not how litigation works in the US.

I called back and when I asked where he was from he hung up on me. Fraud!

I just got one about  IRS n my taxes  n I sposbliy owe 5000 dollars  n the cops are on there way in like  15 mins now  my nerves  have been not very good

Annette, calm your nerves, This is a scam. The IRS doesn't call and threaten. The IRS contacts via US Mail.

NEVER call the scammers back! All you're doing is confirming a live number. Just block and ignore their calls.

Total scam.  Originates in either India or Pakistan.   Block and ignore.   DO NOT RETURN THE CALL!

I got the same call and I hung up after he couldn't give me my soc sec #, account # or address. It is very unnerving, I can see how they can get you upset.

I have called all these numbers including yours and have recorded all of the conversation. I'm about to send all these recordings to the FBI and IRS with your names and everything else, which I know are fake may God be with you because unfortunately he's not with you right now.

I accidentally picked this one up, and gave the guy with a bad accent a run for his money, and then he threatened that the cops are on their way now, and I asked where are they going to get me at, and his reply was to call me a jacka$$ and hang up on me.
