Got this scam this morning  left a message saying that trying to reach you for IRS law suit etc. & need to call back to (202)864-1278. The Caller ID shown (715)201-4286. In fact I got similar call from phone number:(202)241-0907, also (202)241-1178 on last month even on labor Day. Just block them or ignore it.

I got a call from this number and the Indian lady was telling me that I owe IRS $5K for unpaid taxes.
I called the police and have been told that this is a scam.
Don't fall for it.

Just got an canned message call from this # (202) 864-1278.

"This is the reason of this call is to inform you that I R S is filing lawsuit against you to get more information about this case file? Please call immediately on our department number (202) 864-1278. I repeat (202) 864-1278. Thank you."

I got the phone call said that IRS is filing law suite against me and asked to call this number, 202-864-1278 back immediately.  I think this is scam and would like to report it so that other people can aware...

I received a call from this number today and it was a recording saying this is IRS this is the last notification about a law suit against you!!! you need to call this number soon!

A guy with very heavy Indian accent claimed to be the head person for IRS audit department. He named himself Mack Smith with a bogus badge #. He wanted $5000 in cash to pay off W-2 miscalculation that was audited. Once I got the cash he was going to give further instruction to take the money to a certain store?????????

got a recorded message saying that this was the last attempt before the IRS sues me (wish it was the last attempt as this is the third time they claim that and it is a robot voice not a human) they say to call 202-864-1278 but when i did a star 69 on it the number that comes up is actually 518-407-5980 total crooks

This is a scam to get your Social Security Number and other personal information about you. The call was from 712-201-5266 (originated from India) with a message "The IRS has filed a lawsuit against you. To get more information about this case file, you must immediately call 202-864-1278". Do NOT call them back and give them any information about you! It is a SCAM!!

He said he is from IRS. Offered that I can accept a settlement offer with his boss if I paid right away, or face arrest within an hour. I asked for his boss. He said he will transfer me. Probably he forgot to put me on hold, because I heard him calling "Ahmed, Ahmed, (then some foreign language)." The new guy, Ahmed I guess, had the same accent. I told him to send in the cops.

I am sick of getting so many phone messages from this number telling me that they are from the IRS and are going to press charges against me. Scammers!!!!
