- anonymousI received a call from this number stating they were the National Gaming Commission, and that I won $750,000 in a lottery. I was told to send $7500. in order to receive the money. i knew it was a scam because i never played the lottery. I don't play the lottery. Also, why would you have to pay money to get money you won?

- MimiApparently scammers are at it again... been called twice recently from this number and someone states I have won 750k. I did not react other than to say ok, what do you want from me. Few days later another person, same organization. Though this person has no foreign accent, his voice calls to mind a hick, rather than a professional dealing with large sums of money. So I ask again, what do you want from me? And wait... person hangs up and I call it back to see what will happen. There is nothing special, maybe an extension. Then I receive call back from the man who states I have won 750k and I say that's fabulous, is that what you wanted? He tells me to go to their website and look under agents for his name which he tells me how to spell (somewhat common name). Well this is site discovered... done my due dil & can safely say, what a crock!

- Tammy| 2 repliesSteve McCallister called from National Gaming Commission on July 21st, 2017. He claimed that my husband had entered a sweepstakes and he has won 750,000 and would need only a certified check of 7,500 for a processing fee. I asked him why no taxes on it and he said ever since Trump was elected he took care of that for us. I could only laugh at this point. So I went to his website he suggested only to find that another number was on there of 1-977-402-2498 so I called that and guess who answers? Steve once again! This is one big scam!!!! I have reported it to the FTC not that anything will be done just feel sorry for all the other people out there who fall for this.

- Tammy replies to Tammy| 1 replySorry the number is 1-877-402-2498 on their website. Their website is
NGCommision.org you will also see about 200 agents names. Nothing happens when you click on the name though. If you look up the address on the website it doesn't register with the National Gaming Commission. The guy is either eating something or he is getting irritated cause I am asking him all these questions. I asked him the company address where he was based out of and he covered his phone and then came back and said all that can be found on the website really abrupt. I then informed him that I work for the State Of Maryland (Which I do) and that he would be reported to how many people I could get this information out there. LADIES AND GENTLEMEN BE VERY CAREFUL THERE IS A SCAM LURKING AROUND EVERY CORNER NOW A DAYS.
STAY SAFE! MONEY IS TO HARD TO COME BY AS IT IS MUCH LESS HAND IT OVER TO THESE IDIOTS. - BigA replies to TammyThat website was set up June 4, 2017 and is set to expire next year. They used a privacy service to conceal their identity and location.
The address looks fake, and they seem to do almost exactly what the CFPB does.
