Rcvd call from supposedly IRS, this is a big time SCAM.  When you receive SS as your income, you don't pay taxes on that money since you already did.  They think that they can pull the wool over anybodies eyes.  Don't they realize yet that we are on to them?  BEWARE  this really is a BIG TIME SCAM!!!!!

Scam. The IRS will never call you without first contact you by mail.

received two calls from this number today; machine generated "female" voice message saying the IRS has a warrant for my arrest for tax evasion, also left this number to call back.

Thank you everyone for these replies.  I received a similar message this,morning claiming I was a suspect for "tax invasion"  The last time I called a man told me I hadn't replied to a certified letter I supposedly received.  He hung up on me when I asked him to resend.

I always call back and ask them how the weather is in india.

Scam.   This time they use a recording which sounds "official" .    They claim the IRS has files a law suit, and you need to call back.   I did, and a guy with Indian accent answered and said "you have reached the IRS" , then hung up.   I did not bother to call again.  I believe this was a scouting exercise, probably they will call again.
