a recorded message saying that PETA had a town hall phone meeting and they regret that we did not pick up to join them.  caller ID said Washington DC.  keep getting calls from PETA but the phone numbers are different: 661-670-2602, 202-545-3784 (2 calls from this number on different days) and this number today.

this number also called on 6/24 announcing the phone call meeting.

Yet another junk call.  Didn't answer (I NEVER answer calls from unfamiliar numbers).  Blocked this number.

called and left no message.  Calling number says it's "public opinion survey" but didn't identify for what.   Since they left no message, can't say if that's what it really was for or a spoof

this number called and pretended to be IRS and threatened to arrest my innocent family for pretend, false reasons!! They pretend to be Police and pretend to be IRS !!!
The real IRS will never call you, they will mail any real concerns to you!!

called and left no message.   CID number still claims to be "public opinion survey" which is inconsistent with others saying PETA, IRS, etc.   Probable spoof used by scammers

caller id read "spam name unavailable" but was PETA invite to some town hall

called again.  recording at CID number still says "public opinion survey".   Phone company marked as "SPAM" with name unavailable.

I noticed a charge on my bill indicating that I made a call to this number. I did not make this call.

Received this call claiming to be PETA (an organization I despise, don't support, and ignore entirely). I do not know how I ended up on their phone list.
Voicemail contents: "Hello. Hello, this is Emily Watson people for the ethical treatment of animals calling to invite you to protest Petco for selling betta fish at Petco stores around the country betas are confined to tiny plastic cups with seriously a few inches of water inside stacked on top of one another on shelves the small containers bear. No resemblance to betta's natural habitat, but Petco perpetuates the harmfulness, but they are starter pets who are required to live alone in tiny bulbs. The demo will take place on the public sidewalk near the Petco store at 3495 Center Boulevard in San Diego on Tuesday, October 23rd from 11:45 a.m. To 1 p.m. Please RSVP by emailing Emily r a t.. Or. 1-202-873-2556, ROBOCall claiming PETA, having been receiving calls on different numbers with PETA as Caller ID  for the last month- have blocked the lot of them.
I happen to be a PETA supporter.

I believe this to be a scam call pretending to be PETA which I strongly support! I blocked the call! This is the second scam call I received today from a charity called American Wounded Veterans Pact. This so called charity is also a scam! I suppose this type of activity will continue to feast on naive individuals.
