Asking for donations for some social security group. Blocked. Never give money over the phone when you have no idea if they are even legitimate

Keeps calling from different numbers, at all hours, every day of the week.  We have not yet answered the phone when they call, so do not know what they want.  ID shows SSRN, and the calls are coming from D.C. area code 202 -- suspect it is a scam/spam call.

They've been calling repeatedly for months using the following numbers, 202-367-9221, 202-370-7283, 202-873-2683. The number comes up on caller ID as SSRN. I answered a call today & was told this stands for Social Security Reform Now PAC. Caller claimed to be Becky Sprague. When I tried to get them to stop calling I was switched to a recording about what SSRN does.

"Social Security Reform Network" (SSRN).  Fake survey, not the Social Security Admin.  Unsolicited call. Do not give them money.

Getting called from this number for months. Says it's social security administration. SCAM CALL.HANG UP QUICK.

A woman caller asked to speak with my husband or The Man of the House. I told her that her sexism had earned her a hang-up.

Checked it out on Google and could not find any organization or business with the name of Social Security Reform Network. Scam for sure.

Call from this number early in the morning. Didn't answer call & caller didn't leave message answering machine. Number on my answering machine was 202-873-2683 & SSRN was listed as caller.

Called landline and caller asked for me then hung up. Now blocked.

Call from some fake "social security reform network."  HANG UP IMMEDIATELY!

They call every day and within 5/10 mins receive a call from 2064339977????  Makes a person wonder.

caller id read ssrn must be a known scam because spectrum blocked it after 1 ring.

There is also SSRN.com which is Social Science Research Network. There was a research paper posted on Social Security Reform. The phone # goes does go to a Social Security Reform political action committee. This organization is not registered with the Federal Election Commission, nor is it a 501c3. The caller said they support politicians who will increase SS benefits, but when asked WHICH politicians they supported, the caller dodged the question and read from a script. This organization is completely bogus and a scam.

This number called my landline.  Caller ID shows SSRN.  I called it back, after dialing *67, and it said it was a disconnected number.We also got a similar call, with same caller ID, from 202-851-5820.  Blocking both numbers now.

Keep getting from Social Security Reform Now PAC daily for the past two weeks.  Checked them out on Open Secrets PAC information website.  Looks like as of Dec. 2018 most of their funds have been spent and they only have $8 grand in their till.  Guess now they're beating the bushes looking for new donors.  Not going to be one of them...
