- Robert Davis| 1 replyLet's stop complaining, and start working to put telemarketers out of business.
This is a copy of the message that I sent to mslewion@thesmithco.com at the Smith Company:
Hello,
I called 202-895-0900 on 02/20/2010 (yet again) to request that you stop calling my number. Since then, I have received calls on 02/23/2010 and 02/28/2010. I have filed a complaint. And since I do not know on whose behalf you are calling, I am notifying those on your client list, that I will no longer do business, or make contributions as long as they are your clients.
Thanks,
Robert L Davis

- ryma replies to Mr. Justice| 1 replyGood Lord, man, get a life. I don't like these phone calls either, but am amazed the amount of time you have to get even with one of them. What about health care reform? What about war in Afghanistan? What about starving people, diseases, terrorism, etc., all over the world? What about the threat of jihads? What about the pollution of drinking water in your own community? Of course I could go on.
You put way too much energy into a very minor annoyance that is simply the product of our democratic and consumerist society. Caller ID and websites like this one provide you the insight and opportunity to JUST NOT ANSWER.
Sheesh, never imagined I'd be defending a telemarketer... - JakeLeft a voicemail. Identified themselves as the manager of my local Papa John's Pizza.
They have noticed I haven't ordered from them in a long time and they want to offer me discounts so that I would order again.
I have never got a call like this before! - msmadmdaily hangup calls.
