- JenniSame experience here. Left a voicemail stating the same . Sounded real; however, the lack of specifics (like the state/s representing) raised my antenna. No need to return this call; sounds like they want to market something to Realtors

- Hawaii RealtorSame as above. Caller ID showed "Scam Likely" 517-366-4021. "Mike" is very polished, sounds professional, left vm giving cb # listed above. Blocked call. This is the first one of these "Scam Likely" numbers that left a vm and sounded legit. They are getting better at scamming. Thank God for this thread.

- ToddI got the same voice mail. Caller ID showed 517-366-4021 but the number he left to call back was 202-899-7005. I called the 517 number back and was directed to this web site. https://www.thevaba.com/get-help/. They said for a $50 yearly fee you can get put on their list for Veterans to contact you for help in your line of work.

His VM sounded very personable and realistic. Not sure why the phone # was routed but I am not a firm and he didn't state where he got my number, nor, how or why he was referred to me. - IvyWas getting this call for several weeks from another number. Blocked it. Heard nothing. Today, it came from a new number. 631.856.5129. Left the number 202.899.7005 x4015 to call back. This is a pre-recorded message, though it doesn't sound like it. And annoying AF. Can't get rid of them. Wasting valuable work time.

- KMSame as other posts; got a call from “Mike” claiming to be the veteran coordinator for the state and says he’s looking for a firm to give representation for veterans in the state. Does not specify what kind of firm or what kind of representation or what state. Call came from New York 631-856-5129 but he gives 202-899-7005 ext. 4015 as call back number.

- Susie OKI was brave (or stupid) enough to call the 202-899-7005 number with the 4015 extension. As indicated by others, AVOID THEM! Here's their story: they fish for realtors, lenders, attorneys or any business that "supports vets" who are willing to pay them $50 (per city, & I serve a lot of suburbs) to be added to their website, thevaba.com, aka the Veterans Advocacy & Benefits Association. Sounds harmless enough, but as a military mom, I had to know....how is VABA vetting the people they are adding to their database? How are they making sure the realtors are not unprofessional & unethical slimeballs, the lenders are not predatory sharks or the attorneys are not just money-grubbing sharks? How are they "advocating" for their veterans as their group name suggests? How are they "benefitting" their constituents as their title implies? They said they would count on their members to provide feedback on us subscribers, but they do nothing to vet anyone. How many members does VABA have? Everyone who is a veteran or active duty is a member. Oh, is that right? You are part of the VA then? Uhm, no. Let's make this simple, how many subscribers do you have? Well, "Mike" couldn't say, he doesn't handle that information. So, basically, you don't know who your members are or how many; and you don't care and don't screen who your providers are? You're just targeting struggling veterans who deserve better than you; and you are willing to throw them to the proverbial wolves that are your service providers and collect money along the way. Do I have that right? i concluded that the VABA advertises itself as an advocacy and benefits site that does provide do one ounce of advocacy, and clearly benefits no one but themselves. STAY AWAY!

- NemisisSame call, left message to call 2012-899-7005 X 4015 (Washington DC) but was calling from 216-512-1057 (Cleveland Ohio.) Looking for a realtor to work with veterans in this area and would list in directory. 1.) I am not a realtor, never have been. I'm sure there is a charge to be listed in this directory? if in fact there is a directory. 202 number traces back to Veteran's Advisory Benefit Association, which if legitimate, should use professionals to solicit advertisers or sponsors.

- AnthonySame as above. Anyone knows that a party calling from a real life organization will leave more specific information on a voicemail. As stated the bogus caller doesn't say what state he referring for, what "representation he's referring to Etc. Etc. SCAM STAY AWAY!!!!

- SandyReceived this call today from Mike, U.S. Veterans Coordinator for the State, looking for a firm that they can refer veterans and current military personnel to when they are looking for representation. He called from (215) 383-1648 but requested a call back to (202) 899-7005 ext. 4015. I happen to be a real estate Broker and can imagine that some realtors will jump on this as a possible lead source. The Philadelphia, PA number he is calling from shows up in Mr. Number as a telemarketing call soliciting for money. DO NOT REPSOND.
- Caller: U.S. Veteran Coordinator

- ONSGot an almost carbon copy call as others have received... he did say something about MInnesota as I listened to the message he left. As I am a Realtor & a Vet, I'm thinking he is a scammer. "Veterans" as individuals and as a group are continually being "used" by appropriated proxy, by every shady no-count there is. Beware out there.
