Caller ID said "Ftc".  It was a bit amusing to hear the phone try to pronounce that, but I was pretty sure that the FTC would have no reason to call me, so I didn't answer.  Caller left no message.

I received a call from this number also. I have received several calls from a 202 number saying it is Amazon support and that someone has charged my account for $400 plus and if I did not authorize this call Amazon. First Amazon is not taking calls at present and secondly I can not even get into my own account because I have forgotten my password and it is  big pain to try to reset it.
The FTC 202 number is 326 2222, and I have reported so many scam calls to them and I have never received a call back from the FTC. I have been informed many scam calls are coming from 202 area code.

DC number long message saying it was the FTC calling for a survey.  THIS IS NOT THE NUMBER FOR THE FTC.  Clearly a scam, at the end of which they want you to push 1 or 2 (to be removed from calling list) thereby making contact with you to all0ow further contact.  Reported

202-915-7121  My parents received a phone call from this number representing themselves as FTC.  They were not home to answer and the caller did not leave a message.  They also received an email earlier in the day stating that their Amazon shipment was on its way (they have no open order).  Yesterday they were scammed out of $600 in Google Play gift cards by some yahoo!

If your parents were not at home to answer and the caller did not leave a message then how do you know that the caller was "representing themselves as the FTC"?

They can identify it on their television call log.

received call today but did not answer bc I was busy. Caller ID said FTC. caller left no VM. When I was able to review my missed calls, I tried to call it back but it was a non working number.

I recently reported a fraud alert to the FTC.  This was a call asking to complete a survey on their response.  It is valid.

this is no coincidence !! i called the FTC about a phone scam LAST NIGHT and TODAY i get a call from the FTC but the number isnt their number!! well now isnt that strange? hmmmmm

I received a cll from 202 915 7121 . The caller ID said Potential Spam

I got a phone call from FTC 202-915-7121 stating I was chosen to take a survey, I immediately hung up. It was so weird because I just made a complaint to FTC the day before from a caller stating they were from Medicare and wanted my Medicare Card #.

Then maybe it was the FTC looking to find out if they did a good job?  It also appears that they do surveys from time to time.  I don't think that Medicare scams are supposed to be reported to the FTC to begin with.  You can always call the FTC at their known, published number to verify if the call was legitimate.  Never, ever answer a call without checking first because any number can be spoofed.
