This number called me at 2AM!!!!

I have been receiving calls daily unauthorized and annoying I do not know what they want and they do not identify themselves. They will be reported to the appropriate legal authorities.

Picking up or returning calls verifies your number is live and valid; then it will then be sold to others.  Make sure your "do not call" is up to date, entering all your land line/cell numbers.  Spoofing [using bait-and-switch numbers, as described earlier] will keep most recipients from tracking these guys.
In the grand scheme of things, laws were made to be broken and they will move on to new "wrinkles".  Pending and future federal budget cuts will prevent prosection and this is small potatoes.

I got this call as well.   I picked up the phone and no one answered .  It was like no one was on the other line. VERY ANNOYING!!!

It isn't bad enough that they call several times a day, but when you rush to answer it there is never any one there and the phone goes dead.  They have got it real rough!!!

I agree that these calls are intrusive and annoying.  But why are you rushing to answer the phone?  Give yourself some peace and either turn off the ringer, or keep the phone nearby so that when someone calls you can simply glance at the caller ID, then decide whether or not to answer it.

Same thing happens to me... calls every 30 minutes and no one ever says anything

They keep calling my cell phone, 2x a week, calls are 30 minutes apart. Sometimes I don't answer, they never leave a message. When I do answer, it's just dead air. Crazy.

These Collection Agencies are starting to play dirty games.

If you owe on your credit cards these collection agencies call your families, friends, and anyone that you know or keep in contact with. They leave messages on their phone. For example, it usually goes something like this, this call is for……… (name of the person) this is a collection agency…calling to collect on a debt…etc.

They call from different numbers; even call you using your same area code phone number.

They even sell your phone number or information to telemarketers.

In a similar case I had file a complaint with the FCC, the FCC is telling me to file my case with the district attorney.

I recently learn of this new call blocker device that can provide some solution to this problem. Till I figure out why these numbers are still allow to call people this device will have to do for now. Some of them change their number every month; in a month alone average about 20 new callers or numbers calling…

Calls my home phone atleast 4 times a day asking for a unkown person.  When asked to be taken off there caller list, they hang up on me.  They are very rude and annoying.  They fill up my answering machine with a recording that is annoying.

Even if you dont owe any money or have overdue bills, if you have a recycled cell phone number, the previous numbers owner may have outstanding bills.  T-Mobile for one uses recycled numbers for new phone hookups.

What people do when they apply for a credit card is use a random phone number that doesn't fit the area code for the address these callers give ,.,. I get these calls on my landline and ATT can't do anything about it ,.,.
