Yesterday Oct 30/12 I received a call from a woman you said she was calling from Microsoft Windows Center to inform me that my computer was sending out junk mail to other users. She walked me through the various programs and showed me a whole slew of ERRORS and NOTICES in red and yellow. She then put me on to a Charles Fox who spoke with a Chinese accent, right away I thought this might be some scam. Charles told me it would cost $150.00 per year, two years for $180.00 or a lifetime charge of $200.00.
I had given him access remotely to my computer by then. However, I told him I would have to think about it and ask for his number which was 204 272 8888. After terminating the call, I noticed that the program he used to access my computer remained as an (M) Icon at the bottom of the screen I immediately found a way to remove it. This tells me that they would have accessed my P.C. unknowing to me and more importantly, would have had access to my Banking information and other information.

Those "errors and notices" are on everybody's computer and are not anything to be concerned with. I would be very cautious if they had access to your computer for any amount of time. At the very least run a full virus, malware and spyware scan (with a free, reputable program such as microsoft security essentials).

Hilton although you removed the (M) icon at the bottom of your screen which is most likely only a "shortcut", make sure you go to your control panel & check under add/remove programs verify to see if this "M" program is still installed, if it is click only on the "M" program, & click remove this program, also go to your "firewall" & verify under "exceptions" if the "M" program, or "AMMYY ADMIN" program is there, if they are, click only on these, & remove them from your "firewall exceptions". Scan your computer several times a day, & also I would defragment it afterwards. Do not do any online banking until you are absolutely sure that they don't have access to your computer anymore. If you can, try to verify with a computer programmer that you know, & trust that they don't have access to your computer anymore. Keep me posted, thanks!
