Called without leaving message.  Other sources indicate that others are also trying to figure out who this caller is.  It appears illegitimate to me so future calls will be blocked.

I picked up and female asked for me, i said i can take a message, she said no urgency we will call back. And hung up.

These scumbags call every day the use numbers from California  now their using Alabama now.

A google search brings you to Portfolio Recovery Associates which is debt collection suggesting they purchase debt from another source, but I'm debt-free and have been for a while. They left no message, so my guess is the business is legit, but the number may be "spoofed".

Don't answer calls from any source you don't know. That's what caller-ID is for.

They called asking for my husband. The lady wanted his birthday but would not tell him who she was until he gave her his personal info. He just hung up the phone. In our opinion it's a scam. She said that he had an account with them. If that is true they would not be hiding their identity while trying to get his.

A call from UN-known - some type of collection scam posing as Portfolio Associate Recovery which is located in VA. not AL. - A search shows this number to be from Graysville, AL. A land line number using PAETEC ITEL, LLC. They keep calling using a different new numbers even from CA. after being told to remove my number from their call list and blocked.

Since I know you have been told this by a number of people in the past and either refuse to or are incapable of learning from it, the following is meant for the poor souls unfortunate enough to stumble onto your posts:
Knowing what company provides service for a given phone number tells nothing about who made the call and why they did it.
Looking up the company servicing the number is a waste of time.  It is like asking who was driving a passing car and where it was going and being told, "The license plate is registered in Kansas."  And, if this phone number was spoofed, then it is like that license plate was taken off a car from Kansas and placed on a car from Texas.
