6 am phone call and she was adamant that i do what she asks that my computer was at risk and because it told her i wouldnt do it she said my computer would be shut down permanently.  funny im still using it. lol

Repeated harassing calls

Peter Watson claimed he was calling from a company on behalf of Microsoft and the jyst of it was that he wanted me to buy a windows software security license renewal.

Wanted me to log on and give them access to my computer. Couldn't speak English

Whwn I did not respond fast enough the man called me a [***] idiot.

I saw an out of state number I was quiet he said hello twice I answer yea. He said I'm calling from Microsoft I laughed and hung up

Non english speaking person called wanted me to give them access to computer so they could issue refund.  The calling party said the software they installed thru microsoft.  Sounds a little bit fishy to me.

Just got a call from this number  (205) 471-2549. I said hello and they hung up.  The caller ID says it's from Alabama

GEEKS2ASSIST has been calling my husband since June of last year.  Hubby thought it was a legit company he had done business with in the past but found out the hard way, they took  $319 from husbands account and keep calling to give the refund. I don't understand why they can't just send a check if they were an honest business.

Hangs up when I answer.

The classic windows technical department scam.  Played along for a while, then got bored.

Don't answer any calls from 205-471-2549. Report them. They are scammers.

Call at 7.10am today and no person at the other end. Very annoying - I was in the middle of a good dream.

Got a call from this number, his name was Alex (so he said) and he was from "Windows" tech support and that my computer was reporting malicious software. This old scam is again! I kept asking him how they got my phone number to call me when my number is unlisted and I never gave it to Microsoft. I wish I recorded the conversation because my performance was Oscar worthy. Long and short of it was I kept this "BLEEP" engaged for half an hour resulting in his frustration and my joy (at his expense). I call that Success! :-) NOTE: Microsoft doesn't call customers and they don't contract out tech support. If you get a call like this hang up or if you have the time, play with them, it's a lot of fun.

(Also note to "USA" of 28 Jan 2017).  Stephen, there are many kinds of English out there, and because you hear an accent different from yours does not necessarily mean the caller is a non-English-speaking person.  Just think of all the different kinds in North America: Louisiana and Newfoundland and Boston to name a few, and in Britain there are all sorts of accents.  Not everybody speaks Standard English, whatever that is.   A South Asian accent does NOT mean the person is not fluent in grammatically-correct English.  OK, having said that, someone at this number bothered us at about 7:30 this morning.  Although that number is in Jasper, in west-central Alabama, the call did not necessarily come from there.  These scammers have ways of co-opting numbers from all over.  I don't understand how it's done.   So, today the call took an unusual 2 or 3 seconds to come through, I heard voices in the background and what sounded like a male voice on the phone but he was talking to them.  After a few seconds the caller hung up without having the courtesy to say "Sorry, wrong number".

Hello, Success:  I got the same annoying call that woke me up.  Don't they know what time it is over here?!!  If they are paid a commission dependent on the success of their "sale" then wasting their time cuts down on their earnings.  Poor souls may not even know they are scamming.  Having said that, they are breaking the law, and I don't mind chatting them up a bit and having fun like you did.  I think I might even "come on" to the next guy from the supposed "Microsoft", ask him if he's busy tonight and if he'd like to come over for some fun.  Maybe I'll use the word "Macrohard".  I don't fear for my safety at all because he is probably a long way from here and my number is unlisted.

Have been getting repeated calls from this number telling me software I purchased from a company (which I did purchase) has been run out of business by the Better Business Bureau and I am entitled to a refund.  Catch is I have to go to www.teamviewer.com and download and run a program in order to get the refund to get my $299 refunded.  We had a rather unpleasant exchange.  Considering the strong foreign accent, he can get down and dirty with the best of them.  Perhaps the Trump Travel Ban has pissed him off.  He just doesn't seem to understand why I do not want to give remote access of my PC to a total friggin stranger (and a rude one at that).  BTW, when you try and call this number, it says it is not a working number.  SURPRISE, SURPRISE...
