A woman from this number called my home and cell today and said she was seeking to collect for a bad check I wrote to a grocery store. After much wrangling and my refusals to pay over the phone, I told her to mail more info as I am not a person who writes bad checks, I pulled out of her that the claim was for a Winn Dixie check written "some years ago." I haven't paid for groceries by check in many years. I have spotless credit and told her so and it was a mistake. She got more and more threatening and said a sheriff's deputy would be at my house within two hours. The caller ID on the home line said Pendleton. She cited a bank I've never used. This is a mean scam.

This company called my mother's house looking for my wife of myself. They proceeded to tell my mother it was important that I return their call and that it concerned a fraud claim. This is bogus.
