A young lady told me she was calling from my car warranty company... well.. I have no car warranty company other than the dealer I bought my car from.. and it is out of warranty.  Then she mentioned a car we sold 2 years ago, down to the year, make and model.  Where do they get this info. and more importantly... where did they get my phone number since I have a different phone number, live in a different county and the phone is under a different name!!!!  I believe the state vehicle registration is selling our private info to make a buck.  I wish this 100X on the bureaucrats who decided to monetize the personal property info of tax paying citizens.  I'm smoking....

The number may no longer receive calls. I am not sure how this is pulled off but I really wish that something could be done to shut these folks down. My experience is the same as yours...well..I don't smoke but everything about the call is pretty much the same.

Called this morning but never said a word. I tried to call back and still they picked up the phone and didn't say anything.

received 3rd call today says they are from the warranty department.  For a vehicle that I DONT even own.
